Our extended family of 8 loved the cafe vibe, food and coffee.
The cafe is super cosy with a fireplace, books, crochet blankets and cushions.
All meal portions we had were generous, the pumpkin scones were supper and great coffee.

What a suprise package !!

We were staying in Katoomba and wanted to explore a little and stumbled across Freudian Sip for breakfast. From the outside it doesn’t look like much- but inside is amazing ! Such an awesome vibe, staff are super friendly and welcoming and the meals were amazing as was the coffee and hot chocolate.

If we lived locally, we would be regulars for sure.

Campos coffee is not usually this bitter but this one was so hard to swallow. Sugar can’t even save our coffee (Lrg Cap, Mug Cap, Mug Mocha & Sml LB) and we don’t like sugar on our coffee. Lady who served me was nice and the sandwich was nice, but we can’t even finish our coffees. Not coming back and do not recommend.

I came here as the tea rooms nearby were a bit pricey and not many options. This place had a good amount of options and reasonably priced. 15% surcharge for public holiday when the other place had 20% surcharge. I ordered Earl grey tea and medium vegetarian Quiche with salad. I found the price to be reasonable, the food - salad was a good size, the Quiche was a bit smaller than I expected as a lot of it was Pastry and not much filling. I did find the Quiche tasted average, it was okay but a bit plain, I could've made a tastier one at home. The tea was nice and the service was friendly although I was ignored initially when I walked inside, one waitress said hello and then walked away, another waitress walked past me and went to pick up plates right next to me. I had to initiate contact, say hello and if I could have a table.

Super cute little cafe, food was decent and large servings, pricey though.
Staff were a bit all over the place.
My shakshuka was almost puréed which I didn’t like but the taste was good.
The virgin mojito was amazing and the inside of the cage was really sweet like a cute little library/house

The service was absolutely incredible, everyone was super lovely and friendly and the food was super delicious and the sizes were definitely worth the money! I was surprised by how large the meals were and everything was fresh and tasted incredible.
I had the special Chicken Schnitzel Wrap and my partner had the Fish n' Chips and both were just awesome.
