Had the Wednesday night special which was spit roasted pork over charcoal and was fantastic. Highly recommend the Donuts also, probably best I've had and at 6 for $5 bucks probably the cheapest.

Myself and my hubby, really enjoyed the meals.
I loved chicken schnitzels really juicy, fresh and tasty.

Just a small complaint about the service, we were the only ones there at the time (lunch) ordered a pizza which took an hour. The pizza was a 4 out of 5, but the waiting time was excessive.

My wife and I were looking forward to dinner at this historic old pub. What a disappointment! After having a couple of drinks sitting at a corner table in the main bar, my wife went to order our meals and was told we would have to move because one of the locals always ate dinner at that table! No reserved sign on the table, no apology, just told to move. Said local even pointed to a couple of other tables we could move to. My porterhouse steak was cooked well to medium rare, however, the pepper sauce had no pepper and was just a gravy and the salad was 90% lettuce and cucumber with a squirt of mayo. My wife’s fish and chips were okay but they brought out her dessert, sticky date pudding, when she was only halfway through her main course! The pudding lacked sauce and so was dry and not sticky. Not an enjoyable experience!

Our day started at wallaroo ( Dec 20th .
We walked ontp the ferry at 7.30am heading to lucky bay for yhe day🙂
We had a lovely breakfast and coffee on the ferry , all staff member were very friendly and helpful 😀..at 8.30am i rang the franklin harbour hotel as directed by the owner just letting him know we were on the ⛴ we arrived about 10.30am ish.
We could see the shuttle bus waiting to take us into cowell for the day😃..the manager was very polite and when we arrived at cowell he explained the history and showed us the New developments in the town , it was great ( so much for the kids jumping pillow , play ground nice caravanpark, jetty, and the knew splash park it was fantastic.
He also pointed out some little treasure shops... we had a lovely meal at the franklin harbour hotel, then once we had finished our adventure the owner took us back to the ferry for a 4pm travel back to wallaroo, i highly recommend this it was a great day and thank you to the manager 😀 ..
To arrange this experience contact the franklin harbour hotel monday and friday ferry returns day trip speak to the. Manager to arrange pick up and drop off to lucky bay , lunch will be at the franklin harbour hotel ( shuttle bus service is no charge 😉

Simon and Chef went over and above on our stopover! Such a fantastic pub, great food, great drinks and even better service! Highly recommend!
