Frankie’s is a relative newcomer on the Launceston cafe scene, a short stroll from the city centre at the bottom end of George Street. Delicious menu with a health food kick. I had avocado and feta on sourdough with pickled tomatoes which elevated the dish. I asked about them, they were that good. They’re made in-house, always a good sign. The ambience at Frankie’s is deeply casual, with rickety little tables and bare brickwork walls adding to the ambience. This place was opened by Lara and Chris, owners and creators of the Cabin Coffee in Exeter, my own neck of the woods. Chris is a coffee fiend and business maker, and Lara is the stylist and marketer. What a clever duo. Frankie’s is now the plaything of new owners who look set to carry on the great traditions of food and atmosphere in dependable style. Do visit!!

The steak sandwich was absolutely fantastic. Incredibly filling and the bread was very soft as well as the steak. Highly recommend in getting that with the much strawberry drink that was a Valentine special, I’m not sure if it’ll still be around but anything along the lines of what they do for matcha really good. The atmosphere is extremely cozy and the staff were extremely nice. Will definitely be coming back.

Well, what a nice little eclectic style coffee house at the bottom of George Street. The service was friendly, nice 80's music playing in the background. The food we had looked great and tasted the same. My highly recommended smashed avo would be in the top 3 in Tassie, very tangy. Compliments to the chef!!
If you are near Frankie's and after breakfast or brunch, give it a try. Certainly a different experience, just the way we like it.

Frankie's Coffee House in Launceston is a solid spot for a morning pick-me-up. The coffee was good, and the omelette was a decent breakfast option.

I did, however, leave my phone there and drove off to Bell Bay. Luckily, they answered when I called and held onto it for me until I returned. Appreciated that.

The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was pleasant enough. If you're in the area and looking for a straightforward coffee and breakfast, it's worth a visit.

Have I ever been to a cuter cafe in my life? Frankie’s was a delight to visit. The winter porridge was excellent, I only wish it was a bigger serving, the bowl was very shallow. I do hope I have the pleasure of returning here one day.

Green scramble was good. The sourdough was soft in the middle and the scrambled eggs and sausage paired well with it. Chicken shawarma was disappointing. The bread was absolutely too tough. The chicken was not too bad. The other dishes like the eggs Benedict and pancakes were pretty delicious too.

If there's a cuter cafe in Launnie, then I would be shocked, the morning light and aesthetic is the cottagecore of your dreams. The flat white is great, the pork belly crepe absolutely delicious, the flavours and textures send you to another world. The muesli is also amazing, balanced, simple, cosy and not too sweet. Salted apple is an addition I didn't know I needed in my life. Came back and also had the steak sandwich for breakfast which I was very pleased with.
