Had a great evening out last Friday. There was a really good entertainer playing out on the deck, and me and three friends had a lovely pleasant evening- dinner and coffee. The staff were attentive and helpful, the food was tasty and good value. The entertainment suited the venue as well. The new owners are keen to get things going in the heart of town, and this is a really good start. Happy to make this a regular event.

No welcome. Girl I asked to seat me was distracted. Sat waiting for service for over 15 minutes (table service and was quiet). Asked same girl if I could order. She went off and started making drinks. Tall, young male came to the table, no greeting just, “What do you want,” like I was inconveniencing him. I asked for a latte at 50 to 55 degrees and he said, “That is normal.” I told him sixty five degrees is normal and I wanted it warm. He argued and muttered under his breath as he walked away. My food came out incorrectly after asking for no spinach. The eggs were also hard on an eggs Benedict with the Hollandaise cold. At the prices charged I would have expected perfection. Presentation was bland and totally uninspiring. Coffee was bought out too hot and really badly made. Texture of milk was not silky… like it was reheated several times. Overall very disappointing when I drove out of my way to try this cafe.

Chef always makes a special vegan meal for us. Fresh and delicious, generous portion, Love the music and the great atmosphere with the new owners. We have a regular business meeting and come back for the social aspect.
