Whenever I go to Canberra and that’s very regularly many times a year I always stay at Forrest. I don’t even look elsewhere. The motel rooms are well maintained, cleaned every day, basic facilities, lots of PowerPoints, very good WiFi and free parking. They have either motel rooms or apartments I’ve stayed in both. The reception staff are so friendly and helpful making check in an absolute breeze. If you need further assistance the reception staff always attempt to help. They have a restaurant open on weeknights excluding public holidays where I’ve twice had pizza loved it both times. I really recommend Forrest Hotel and Apartments.

We had a great stay at Forrest Hotel and Apartments. It was very good value. We stayed in the Albany Apartments which was around the corner from reception. Our one bedroom apartment was clean, comfortable and quiet. There was a well equipped kitchen and good bathroom. There was plenty of off-street parking. It is very well located. We could walk to Parliament House as well as being close to shops and restaurants.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel during my recent trip, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was perfectly clean and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.
The location is also ideal, with easy access to the city's main attractions. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit. Highly recommended!

Our apartment had everything that we needed. It was clean, quiet and close to everything.Enjoyed our stay. Value for money. We would definitely return to Forest Motel and Apartments again when in Canberra. Probably could have a little update but that is purely cosmetic.

We were very disappointed. On arrival, the office was very outdated and very crowded. When entering the property, it was nothing like it was presented online. Very bland, and very old. When asked where to park, we were told anywhere, and there is not enough parking vs how many rooms. When we got to our room the fridge wasn't even turned on, and was extremely damaged, with the seals falling off and full of mould. And dirty. When I told reception, all I got as, " did you manage to turn it on, and okay thanks for letting us know." The chairs and phone were full of dust, the exhast fan in bathroom didn't have a switch, and the shower has been taped up, and spits out the side. we realised there isn't even a microwave available in the room, and the information sheet states it is in the reception, for guest use. So you have to take you food into reception! No quilt is provided on the bed, just an old brown blanket in-between bottom and top sheet.
When we asked where a smoking area was, we were told to stand out the front of the motel on the road. We are respectful smokers, and couldn't find a bin anywhere on the property to dispose of our cigarettes.
When we dropped our keys we told reception of the issues, and again just said we will let housekeeping know. No sorry no consolidation on the issue.
I have added photos.
As a property Manager of a Holiday park myself this is poor service.
Was an extremely uncomfortable stay and will not be staying again.

Great Hotel/Motel, rooms were very clean and quite comfortable. Forrest is close to most of the things you might to see on a visit. I just booked in and out without fuss. Price was excellent through direct booking which all the booking companies try to block out. I would go there as our first port of call should I visit Canberra again.

I was so underwhelmed by the room - the bedding wasn't clean for a start, that I went directly back to reception, handed back the keys and drove 2 hours back home rather than stay the night. I wasn't offered a refund or contacted afterwards by management. The Forrest used to be a reliably clean and well located place to stay. It has sadly, really gone downhill. I won't be staying here again.

We booked a 2 bedroom apt for a 5 night stay. Checked in at reception & made our way to the room. We did notice that the stairwell was rather grim and dirty and the window ledge outside our room was extremely dusty with a few dead flies, added for the overall ambience perhaps. Entered the room & to say we were extremely disappointed is an understatement! It was dirty, drab & depressing, appeared to not have been cleaned or updated since 1970! We immediately went back to reception, cancelled the booking, got our money back & left. Reception was not one bit interested and couldn't have cared less.
Would never recommend a stay here to anyone
