Although we waited just about two hours to be served, the wait was worth it, great coffee, with delicious, unique and seasonal food. We didnt mind the wait as we were there during a very busy time, and the atmosphere made it not feel like such a long wait.

Many regrets in not ordering a second coffee, will be back again.

I hadn’t been to Florence in ages and I can confirm since changing owners it’s still great. We arrived at 1030 on a busy Sunday morning and surprisingly didn’t have to wait for a table. Service was good. Coffee was great. Really nice menu selection that caters to all dietary requirements. I had the hash browns, which I really enjoyed, but I would recommend getting a side next time to break it up a bit. My friends got poached eggs and avocado and really enjoyed (although I wish they’d got something more adventurous lol). I LOVED the pickles. Lots of doggos. Clean toilets. Friendly staff. Will be back soon.

Beautiful neighbourhood cafe. Love the chill vibes. The Irish girl was extremely friendly and made us felt welcome.

The price of each dishes were abit overpriced given the ingredients used and portion size.

Gratin - melted cheese with leek on thick cut sourdough ($20)

Omelette with mushroom with curry sauce ($22) a bit salty to our liking.

Octopus with radish ($28) - taste was great but coming with a crouton or a piece of bread will be great.

Three person meal paid $107. Above average price.

October 2024:
Finally got around to visiting Florence Cafe again, and boy, I am so glad I did. I pretty much got the exact same thing as last time because I remember how good it was. The customer service was exceptional. The staff are up for a chat, even when the cafe is pumping, which is super cool to see. My friend and I got a long black each & the coffee was beautiful and smooth.

February 2024:
I am SO glad I came here, my friend also.
The flavours of the food; the freshly baked SOURDOUGH; the option for a side of greens (THANK YOU!!); the fact that the eggs come with kimchi, WOW.
The customer service was wonderful. The food and coffee came out in great time.
We came on a pretty hot/humid day which made it pretty uncomfortable & because the front door is always open, the flies were super annoying. But totally understand why. Maybe just ask to be seated away from the door if you don’t want this.

One of my longstanding favourite cafes. Been a bit harder to come since my partner passed away but we dined here at least weekly with many long lunches. Food is unique and creative and the atmosphere is top knotch. I do miss the long lunches and they could make them vegan. I also regularly got their Florence bowls-one birthday Anthony and I took them into the park. I also often meet friends for coffee and cake! Amazing cakes and pastries and vegan varieties

Food was delicious and just unique enough to bring me back. Saturday was pretty busy so it wasn't surprising that it took a while for staff to take our food order. Super loud for a cute Cafe, once again due to being so popular.
Matcha Frappe was so smooth and yummy.
There's so many good things on the menu I'll have to come back about 4 times.
Keen to try the pudding, Florence bowl and even just eggs with a selection of different add ons.
My daughter had the bagel and the best Matcha Latte she's ever had.
I had the Tartine which was a surprisingly delicious breakfast. I thought choosing squid was a risky brunch but I was happily wrong and the combination of flavours blew my mind.

Florence Café is a very lovely place to have breakfast in relax. My wife and I have been here on a Saturday morning and it was amazing. All staff are really very friendly and the athmosphire is like to be in an Italian café in your holiday time. Very nice! Ric & Leti

I really loved the atmosphere and staff.. we were very well looked after.. very good service despite being busy. I have a disability and they went above and beyond to accommodate me. Coffee was made just how I like it.. I will visit again. (I love homely the timber feel there, not the usual sterile modern coffee clones that spring up)
