We had a great experience here. There's a bar to relax before your movie. We were there on a Friday night and there was live music. The food isn't great. It's mostly deep-fried food on the menu or terrible vege nachos. The seats in gold class are really comfy and recline a decent amount, although my partner couldn't recline his too far as his feet would hit the chair in front. They serve food and drinks to your seat throughout the movie. We'll definitely go back but we won't get dinner there, only popcorn 🍿

It was our first time ever going to this cinema and it's my new favourite place.
We loved the structure.
The only thing I have to say is that the seats might look a little old due to the wear& tear oher then that it's great!

Looking for a Gold Class, neighborhood gem to enjoy the latest movie? Look no further than this Five Star Cinema in Red Hill.

The building has a long history dating back to the 1920's and its raw character makes you feel like you're transported back in time.

A fully licensed venue with great food and snacks plus a tastefully designed arcade to relive playing your favorite childhood games.

Seats are soft and plush with automatic recline buttons and table trays for food.

The Cinema is kept very clean and has an intimate feel. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful but you might need to ring the button at the front desk if they're busy keeping the place running.

Highly recommend a visit here to watch the latest release or even just hang out at the arcade, you can't go wrong.

Edit (3/Apr/2024):
Just want to give a shout out to one of your very well mannered serving staff at the counter last Thursday when I saw Perfect Days (a fabulous film by the way). Freya was very patient with my ticket purchase while my credit card was playing up. She did everything she could to assist me and eventually I got my ticket. Her customer service skill was exceptional and I just want to say thank you here.

This cinema is a fabulous local movie theatre. Love the retro vibe of the foyer. The theatre viewing angle is excellent, zero chances of someone blocking your view with the pretty steep seating arrangement. The chairs with their recliner are really comfy. The screens are as big as they come for a local theatre. Ample onsite or street parking! Highly recommended if you are on the north side of the river!

What a beautifully restored venue... paying tribute to the bare bones of Brisbane yesteryear....
Arcade style, open and breezy seating area which stimulates nostalgia with placement of 80s Arcade games, decor and colourful and beautifully presented wall art.
The theatre itself was clean, spacious, with table service and recliner chairs. My experiences here was pleasant and believe small local theatres and businesses should be supported by their community.

Comfy seats and great sound quality with nice screens. Fresh popcorn, beers on tap but today’s visit was a little tainted by the staff member on duty who wasn’t overly friendly or patient. As a regular patron I know how to order tickets, food, drinks etc but I was interrupted with each request with a reason why it couldn’t be done the way I wished and had to be completed her way. Couldn’t tell her the beer I’d like until we worked through other steps, despite being at the step of ordering food/drinks, couldn’t show her my email proof of ticket purchase, the overall feeling was that I was irritating to her. Perhaps I was!! This was a generalised impression I got, I was not directly told this.

Awful experience and treated poorly. It doesn’t accept cash and despite the website saying the cinema was wheel chair accessible, it was in fact, not accessible for a wheelchair user, it fact you were made to feel like an inconvenience. The staff were rude and the women and men’s toilets were not separate! You can also hear the movie next door to the cinema you are in.

We really enjoyed this cinema. It has a bit of a 90's grunge feel downstairs, with grafetti painted on exposed brick, a few old video games in the corner that you can play and reminisce about your teenage years, and the songs of powder finger wafting through the air. You can sit here with a drink ordered from the bar.

Upstairs leads you to the 5 cinemas and attempts to transport you to a different era with canvas seats and exposed beams and corrugated iron of what I assume used to be the original building.

The actual theatre was a real surprise! Not the biggest screen you'll find (in cinema 5 at least), but very modern and comfortable, although I would have liked the seats to recline.

The one thing that would take me some getting used to was the toilets. Everyone shares the same room, with male and female cubicles beside each other. Different, but not really my thing. Parking could be an issue on busy days too.

Overall a great experience!
