Our stay was short and sweet, but we were impressed for the price! The room came with all the ammendities, including water and milk in the fridge. Recommend the uni-sex bathroom as females was pretty outdated.

Gorgeous pub and bistro, lovely meal and awesome specials on drinks ? would recommend to anyone passing through

The bistro was clean & it was popular with local tradies. But for those who are wanting something light or healthy there isn’t much choice. Caesar salad with extra $’s for chicken on Thursday lunch hmmmm very very disappointing chicken was really dry, croutons were like rocks & I had a plateful of lettuce core with some dry cheese on top. Maybe it was put up for collection before it was dressed and/or finished but I gave 2 stars as the place was very clean, bar staff excellent & if there is a next time I would just order a burger to pick at as there was def more attention paid to them.

I’m really disappointed that Drag Bingo was cancelled without any notice. My friends and I used to look forward to it and always had a great time. We were especially let down by the lack of communication regarding the cancellation. It’s frustrating when an event you enjoy regularly is suddenly taken away with no warning. We hope to see Drag Bingo return or find out why this change occurred. Until then, we’re not sure if we’ll be back

The service from the two Jack and Eleanor was super class! They were so nice and helpful and make my stay! Thank you for this time! The room was also very nice!

Five Islands are constantly improving their rooms and the new shared bathroom is small but very modern.
*Just some tips....Room 16 needs batteries in the air conditioning remote plus open exposed tea bags do not seem hygienic. Lastly, some coat hooks would be good.

No cleaning / restocking of room, towels, coffee ,milk etc. Large spot light directly outside window, room is lit up like daylight, even with blind down. Couldn't get air con to work. Not how accomodation is advertised.

I've traveled all around the country, and stayed at all kinds of accomodation. Not once have I left accomodation I'd already paid for due to issues with the hotel - until now.

Whether it was the fridge I had to turn off at the wall because it was clearly dying a slow death, the bright lights and constant screaming coming from outside that weren't blocked out by curtains, the 'Queen' bed that was too small for me to lie on vertically as a 6' tall guy (and couldn't lie diagonally across the bed due to the fact had 3 different levels of lying on basically hardwood), the less-than-soothing sounds of crackheads fighting from 3-7am next door to my room, or the biggest issue I had - only two bathrooms available for all rooms, this was by far the worst place I've ever stayed in.

There's also next to no parking, especially not if you arrive during a busy time at the pub downstairs.

If it was ridiculously cheap, I could have forgiven the above but it wasn't - it was exactly the same price as GOOD accomodation I got down the road that had none of the aforementioned issues and that was even after I got a discounted room as what I had originally asked for was no longer available.

With all that being said, the staff were actually really nice even dealing with issues like having to wait around for ages to get my stuff out when all the keycards stopped working.

We've made the bistro a definite go to for lunch at least once a week. The food is exceptional and the staff are very polite and professional.
