Great place to be, Sal snd Val are so nice. The place is very quiet, the Breakfast great any you can‘t have better hosts than this couple. The home made Biscottis are a dream. The B&B is close to tramway stations. For us a perfect start to begin with our road tour in Australia.

This was a genuinely perfect stay, right in the heart of the Fitzroy/Carlton area of Melbourne. Location, price, breakfast and facilities were fantastic, but the best part of it all was Sal and Vinnie’s hospitality. Felt like staying with family, though they certainly maintained our privacy as well. We have been reflecting in the days since and think this may have been our best holiday accomodation ever.

Sal and Vinnie were the perfect hosts. Our accommodation was ideal with a very good bed, small sitting room, courtyard and private bathroom facilities. The breakfasts were extremely good with a choice of cereals, preserved fruit, toast, omelette, freshly squeezed juice and coffee. For fit people it is within walking distance of the city, and trams are very close. I highly recommend Fitzroy Bed and Breakfast

This was our first visit to Melbourne and as we are not keen on large anonymous overpriced hotels we were so pleased to have found this outstanding B&B. It is slightly out of the centre of Melbourne but with the tram stop only five minutes walk away and the trams every few minutes it took only a few more minutes to get right into the centre. If you stay on the tram you will end up in the beach area of St Kilda and there you may be lucky enough to see the penguins as we did. Vin and Sal were the perfect hosts. They warmly greeted us with food and a drink when we arrived in the late evening tired after a long journey from the UK . The accommodation is well thought out spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Homemade biscuits and chocolate treats were provided and much appreciated. What we liked was that our hosts were warm and friendly and were able to give tips on how to get the most from our visit but they were unobtrusive. You have your own separate entrance and key so can come and go as you please.||The breakfast was fantastic and really set us up for the day. We had an early flight on the day we left but Vin & Sal insisted on getting up really early to give us breakfast and see us on our way. Thank you both for that. We can highly recommend this B&B

What a great place to stay. Sal and Vinnie are the hosts with the most. Very warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble but they are not intrusive and happy to let guests be. Fabulous breakfast. Very convenient location. Amazingly quiet for being in such an inner suburban area. Close to public transport, walking distance to interesting shops and restaurants. Comfortable apartment to stay in with own entrance and many well thought out personal touches. |We look forward to booking in again.

The best possible stay in this truly clean comfy and welcoming accomodation. Situated within easy reach of the city. Trams to centre only a few minutes walk from accomodation and only a few stops to city.||Sal and Vinnie are also such super hosts, and are so knowledgeable of the whole area. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and plentiful homemade bread each day. This was a truly wonderful accomodation look no further, why would you stay anywhere else!!!

I stayed here for 2 nights with the delightful Viv and Sal. They are very generous hosts and I felt completely spoilt from the moment I arrived:lemoncello straight up, homemade biscuits and delicious teas, chocolates on my pillow and the sumptuous breakfasts. ||||The room was really clean and comfortable with a private entrance. Loved the decor too! Sal and Viv are very down to earth and ready to help with anything but not intrusive at all. ||||The location is perfect; in a quiet street but close to the hustle and bustle of Brunswick St. ||||This will be my go to place for any trips to Melbourne!

Fitzroy Bed And Breakfast is a delightful and hidden gem in the city of Melbourne. Arriving in Melbourne for the first time and using the very clear directions sent to us from Sal and Vinnie, we were greeted with a lovely tall cocktail as we entered our accommodation. Right from the start Sal and Vinnie were very attentive to our needs, greeted us warmly, answered all our questions, proved to be a wealth of knowledge of all things Melbourne, treated us to some very seasonal, fresh and tasty food for breakfast each morning and in short ensured that our weekend away was as stressful as they could make it.
We had gone to Melbourne for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo which was great but the service and friendliness from Sal and Vinnie were outstanding and made our weekend all that much memorable. Thank you both so much.
