Needed a pet friendly accommodation for a 250Km trip to Launceston for medical treatment not available in Hobart. Delightful period style rooms with fully modernised bathrooms. Extensive gardens ideal for walking our little dog and providing a peaceful atmosphere. Further from Launceston than accommodation we have used previously but well worth the drive. Our congratulations to Nigel and his staff for what they have achieved.

Very comfortable place. We absolutely loved the garden and the outdoor space. The design of the rooms is unique, transporting you to an ancient era while still looking very modern. The owner is a very kind and welcoming person, who made us feel very at home. We will definitely come back!

Set in beautiful gardens. A cute little twin room with a few draw backs. The beds are squeaky. Thin walls are thin so you hear the people talking next door. When the neighbour showers it sounds like the shower is next to you. A bit close to the train which is pretty noisy when one comes by but admittedly they don’t run that often. The ensuite was lovely. I went to make a cup of tea only to find the previous tenant had made chai in it so it had cardamon pods still in it and dirty water. There were no fly screens so no ventilation and no AC. The TV is very tiny. I feel for $160 it was overpriced. But it was very welcomed after camping for 3 days in the wild.

Nigle was very accommodating with our stay on a very short notice. The room is very comfortable in size and the bed is nice and firm. It is also dog friendly, and that is a plus for me.

I had a great stay at the Inn for a week as I have family that live in Westbury.
Nigel has great communication skills and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay.
My accommodation was clean and the bed comfy, provisions for tea /coffee and a toaster.
This homestead has an interesting history and is well located in Westbury. A ten minute walk into the town and a bit further into the old town. You can also walk around the town common not far from the old town.
The garden rooms have opening doors out to one area of the gardens ,all of which are beautiful.
I will definitely return on my next journey to Westbury.
Thanks Nigel

Stayed on night with my mum at the Inn. On first glance on the outside the main building looks lovely and historic and the garden is lovely these are the positives. The room was very run down and basic. We had to open the front and garden doors to let air flow through the room as it was stale and musty inside. The room is very daggy and we both gave each other a glance of β€œoh no” when we went inside. The very small TV is up so high on a shelf you have to strain to see it. The internet...now I specially asked re the internet...was given the password and it didn’t even come up was so weak so had to use my own phone to go online. The single beds were shocking, they creak really really loudly at every movement and the sheets and covering were also dusty. The shower did have a good stream of hot water that was ok. For breakfast it was continental but very basic bread, jam, honey (the honey had started to crystallise as who know how long it was out for), the sugar jar was basically empty, sultana brand and yoghurt and tin peaches (which I did not touch). On their website they have the tariff of $110 a night yet we paid $130? Definitely not worth the money. Was the only downfall to our trip of 10 nights around Tasmania where our other accommodation was all much nicer. Avoid!
