This pub had a good food rating but our food was far from nice. My schnitzel was nice and fresh, my husband's $42 "medium rare" steak was small and burnt and both of us ordered veges that were " cooked prior and straight out of the fridge" cold. We will not return there for food. Bar staff were very pleasant!

Had the Roast Duck was really good the Buffalo wings where fried bit of an odd choice. The sauce was good but didn't enjoy them as much. Sevice was friendly and fast. Over all pretty good. I will be returning ?

Also was happy with the cost of drinks. Reasonable for the times

My wife left her jacket in the restaurant.
They acknowledge they found and had the jacket but refused to post it to our home address although we offered to pay postage and processing cost.
Would advise tourist to avoid the establishment.

This is an absolute gem of a place to eat , drink and stay at. We recently spent a couple of nights here and would thoroughly recommend. The bedroom we stayed in was full of old world charm and was clean and fresh and the cleanliness of the recently renovated ensuite could not be faulted. We had dinner at the hotel and the food was absolutely delicious so much so that we ate there again on the second night we stayed ! All staff that we had the pleasure of dealing with were very friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome during our stay. I would have to say this is one of the best hotels that I have stayed at and has a great atmosphere and ambiance to it. We will return to this place for sure !

LUNCH SPECIALS GREAT!
The hotel itself has good food options, plenty of seating, parking at the back, and quirky areas to eat, both inside and out.
There was even a cosy lounge with a fireplace!
Some staff did not appear to enjoy serving - not just us, but anyone. Not friendly or helpful when asked questions. However, we were pleased that Tamara engaged with us when she came to collect our plates. She was lovely.
The food was great. We had the weekday lunch time special of barramundi and bangers and mash.
Overall, we were happy with the food, location, and hotel itself.
Feel that if the attitude of staff were different, there would be more satisfied customers!

Made a trip to Bello today and thought we would go to the pub for lunch as it's always good .Well, today was such a disappointment .
The menu is very limited, asked if I wanted salad with the snitzel as an extra comes on plate at other pubs, also ordered lamb cutlets and got forequarter chops crumbed (Butcher of 30 years I should know the difference)
It will probably be a little more than 6 months before im back again. Prices were off "chops" compared to other pubs within a 50 km radius
Thumbs down from me.
Staff were great beer was good but an expensive letdown.

I have been coming here for a few years now and i don’t know how they manage to ALWAYS find the most rude and disrespectful staff members but every time i come for dinner or drinks ( especially at the bar next to the kitchen) they are condescending and short tempered. i have been working in the hospitality industry for awhile and know what is expected of front of house staff, maybe they need a refresher on how to serve customers. Not to mention the food is bland, unimaginative and expensive.

Pub is in a great location, dining and outdoor area is very nice. Front bar is very dated. Staff are very rude. Ordered 2 meals, BBQ Squid Salad and Fedo Fried Chicken, squid was cold and tasted horrible, was sent back, staff and chef were not happy, heard their discussion bad mouthing me, fried chicken was subpar. Definitely wouldn't recommend.
