The bakery is very good. Although on the main road and it can be a challenge to cross at times, this bakery overall is in a good location. It is close to the railway station, next to the servo and not far from a couple of shopping centres.

Food: if you are looking for something for breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea or something to take home for dinner then this is the place. Your on your way to or from Rockhampton and you need some coffee and a pie or sandwich, maybe that roll or a sweet slice, they have it. Just a loaf of bread or two, no problem. By the way the bread is nice and fresh.

Price: most things are pretty well priced and not over the top for today's prices. My last pie was $6.50 and that was a bit fancier pie. The coffees and sandwiches are good as well.

Location: It's a great location on your way to and from Rockhampton because you don't have to go off the main road. Need fuel, that’s next door so get your fuel and stop at the bakery for a pie or fresh coffee.

Parking: Emerald has a lot of parking in the middle of the streets and the main street is no exception. From what I remember there is truck parking over the other side and a small park with seating.

Service: Staff are quick and polite. When they are busy you might have to wait a little bit for your coffee to be made but it's worth it.

Seating: As I said, there is seating over the road but there is also a little bit at and outside of the bakery.

At Christmas time they have some really nice Christmas treats.
I gave the 4 stars because there is always room for improvement. By the way, they have awesome cream buns!

Again I have been given a cake/tart that is older/not as good/different to what is displayed in the cabinet and I've nelly had a gut full (pardon the pun). If it happens again I'm just not going to go back there and I'm not going to recommend the place.
Please don't display nice cakes/tarts and then give the customer an older version of what's displayed!
Give them your fresh stuff every single time otherwise the fresh stuff is going to get old and you're going to be giving old stuff to the next customer!
You're better to be out of stock than to give out yesterday's, or the day befores stuff especially when fresh stuff is displayed and presumably going to be given!

Rocked up for breakfast this morning at 6am and the entire store was jam packed with great food and sweet treats!! They do excellent pies & sausage rolls, fresh sandwiches, salads, and pre cut tubs of fruit. They even had pre cooked containers of chicken carbonara that looked so good we took home for tea!! So a quick stop sorted breakfast, lunch and dinner!! And I'm happy to report the carbonara was just as good as everything else we ate!! So I highly recommend stopping in if you're ever in Emerald cause even the coffee was great!! Thanks heaps guys!!

The food is great. Pepper steak pie is delicious. The only downside is the morning rush and 1 till working, you spend a bit of time in store. Otherwise good fresh quality food

Best pie I've had in years! Passing through on holiday from Victoria. Had to go back for dessert since the pie was so good. I had a plain mince pie, then went back for a choccie brownie and rum ball. The lady serving was so nice (I think an African lady - apologies if incorrect). Great service, great food. Give the lady a raise, she deserves it!

This is my usual stop when I visit Emerald CQ. There are many baked products from assorted breads to assorted pies and pre made sandwiches.
Most of the staff are friendly and helpful while there are a few that are probably grumpy by nature but still good enough to help you and have you leave the shop with a smile. Being a small shop with a small set client base, they do not always have what you are looking for. But there are good substitutes if you don't not mind.
