Been here a few times now staff are amazing so friendly and bubbly, the food has been great. The steak on thursday night has been one of the best that I have had for some time. Veg & salad bar is also very nice. The only thing missing is there are no bread rolls its a minor thing but would top the meal off. Would recommend this place to everyone.

The Exeter is an OK pub for the budget conscious. The food was good for the price but I prefer the next tier of hotel fare.

The salad and vege bar is a bonus and the staff,and service are excellent.
I had the beef schnitzel with a prawn topping. The schnitzel was good, nicely cooked but the prawns were bland and added nothing to the meal.

Such a delight to be welcomed with a friendly smile and have my allergies taken seriously and respectfully considered. You would be amazed at how rare that is in hotel establishments these days. Thankyou for making me feel cared about rather than a nuisance.
The meal we ordered was 10 out of 10 and salad veg bar was fresh and tasty with plenty of variety.

Had my birthday function at the Exeter hotel last night and we had such a wonderful time. The staff were excellent and the food was amazing too!
Would definitely recommend anyone having a function here or even just coming in for a meal.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a wonderful restaurant in Exeter, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality that set the tone for the entire experience. Disappointing service from staff tonight extremely rude! Salad bar was low simply asked will they be adding more and was told we are short staffed and have to wait. Wasn’t a problem waiting but the way I was spoken to was extremely disrespectful especially on Mother’s Day. If you don’t have the staff don’t take the bookings ! A smile from your staff cost nothing.

I used to really enjoy taking my son here for a mid week meal, orobably.twice a month, was good value and a playground.......until they changed the kids meal to the trays. My son is only young but the trays are unappetising and insufficient portions of the main meal. If they change back to a propoer kids meal I would be happy to return.

Just had the best steak I've had in ages today at the Exeter Semaphore! The staff are so friendly and the salad bar just makes everything better. There's no way you're leaving hungry. We will be back! 😀
