This is my 3rd stay, each time over a week and I found that the staff is always friendly and skilled. Manager is always available, professional and very helpful. Food is excellent and portions are really large. Room is comfortable, and bed is soft like you are floating on a cloud. Lots of amenities and hygiene is above expectations for a small 100 year old hotel. I will be back again and I highly recommend this hotel, either for accommodation, food, or just refreshment.

Had a family reunion here yesterday. The food was ok to reasonable. But the service was cold and unfriendly. After spending several 100s of dollars on food and alcohol. And being reminded on several occasions that the starter breads we ordered had to be paid for as if we were going to do a runner and mind you we were all over 60 years old. And was about to spend more on coffee and cake as it was my brothers birthday a young lady told us we had to move because someone wanted to clean the air con. So our reunion was cut short , and by the way i hadn't seen a sister of mine in 40 years and it was cut short because of bad service and one young lady thinking she was more important than she really was, we had to go and sit in the stifling heat outside. So if you want medioco food and unfriendly service this is the place to go. Spend your money elsewhere. Oh and maybe get the air conditioners cleaned when the paying customer was finished spending their money. Customer service and friendliness ZERO.

As a couple we do not normally order a Chicken Parmigiana but our local friends said to try it and share the plate!!! So we did and to our surprise it was the best moist tasty dish since forever! I had to let you know as caravanners and pub crawlers we rate this the best EVER!! Fresh slaw home-made crisp tasty chips and the biggest tastiest Parmy along with home-made mushroom sauce called The Stockmans Parmy! Lorraine and her staff were amazing and she let us thank the chefs in person!! We will be back very very soon as hear from a good source the Neptune's Chicken is amazing along with soo many nice looking dishes going around the hotel today! Cheers Karen and Dale 🤩🤑🥳😎❣️

Stayed here about 6 months ago and loved it.

And always grab dinner here while I'm passing through via inland while I am travelling. Tonight was a pizza. Absolutely yummy!

Came here for a feed. Im not even gonna sugar coat this, hands down the BEST food out of any pub ive ever had. I actually cant believe this place is in Toogoolawah. When youre in there eating it feels like youre on a holiday somewhere in the tropics with a 5 star chef. We went there a second time for pizza, and farout youre never finding that cricket ball, OUT THE PARK, AMAZING. Huge pizzas, stringy cheese everywhere, 🤤..id drive 100kms for one. And CHEAP!!! 45 bucks 2 familys and a garlic bread, and these familys are the size of bedsheets. I could rave all day about this place.
This place wowed me seemingly without even trying.

A group of five of us pulled into this pub after riding down the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail from Yarraman for a late lunch before pushing on to Esk.

The beer was cold, the food was fine enough, and we were able to sit out the front which is always a treat. However it was an incident just as we were finishing up that left the biggest impression.

As we stood up to leave, a vehicle careened into a parking bay out the front, narrowly missing myself and another in our party. We were all rather shocked by this, and one member of the party couldn’t help himself but to remark to the driver, “I know you feel like a hero in your Prado, but do you think you could show a little more care driving it?”

The response of “Well, you’re lucky I wasn’t driving my 200 Series or I would have hit you” was astonishing, and after some back and forth, we learned that we were speaking to the owner of the establishment.

We considered the quality of the food and service to be worth 3 stars, but the conduct of the owner worthy of a two star deduction.

We do however have doubts that we were indeed speaking to the owner, and would amend our rating accordingly if this were the case.

So if the owner is not an older woman who drives a white Prado we will gladly amend the rating.

Quirky old style accomodation with steep stairs and history. We stayed 4 nights in the family room. Loved the beds, the queen was best mattress I have slept on in a long time. Pillows great too. Air con and fan worked ok but I reckon would struggle in height of summer. Living, kitchen area has Louvre windows with no screens. Shared bathrooms were a bit busy over the weekend and required waiting around at times. Good value for money.

Just came to town to view a house and stayed in single room. Great service, easy going, lovely rooms, clean and fresh, friendly staff, locals who chat and welcome you. What a relief from the City.
