Our stay at Evening Star was one of the best of our trip. The facilities were fabulous and spotless—lots of site options, shade, and birds galore. We loved the campfire, damper, bar, and live music. The on-site star gazing was also a wonderful experience. There are even walks and places to explore on the property which is beautiful at any time of day. Oh and the veggie garden! It was a wonderful surprise and we will definitely stay here again. HIGHLY recommend.

Evening Star was an unexpected delight! From the warm welcome, friendly atmosphere throughout the park, great sites and excellent amenities ... to a vegetable garden for guests to enjoy the produce, this park is absolutely customer-service focussed. Add to that free, freshly-made damper served around the roaring campfire, and the passion for his community, environment and the hilarious antics of Craig - we are hooked. This was our first visit but it won't be our last. From what we saw, heard and experienced, you might arrive as a customer, but you quickly become a friend to this special place and family. Even though the clouds prevented any seriously good, night-sky viewing, nothing dampened our enjoyment of our 2 nights there. See you next year. Suzanne Johnson and Mike Leonard

The feel of this place is worth the visit, alone. We stayed a week and loved every day of it. A great base to explore from. The relaxed feel and friendliness of all staff is brilliant - which is all the more impressive, because the place runs like clockwork and nothing seems a problem. The happy hour is EXACTLY that; the fire pit is THE largest we’ve ever sat by. Even warm August days were cool at sundown and colder, later - so the fire was great. That’s backed up with a well stocked bar (3 types of alcoholic Ginger Beer!) at really fair prices, but feel free to BYO. No fuss, no problems. Even a vegie garden. An absolute gem. It’s not the cheapest in town but the value will be remembered long after the cost is forgotten.

Evening Star Caravan Park is so special as it’s an experience not to be missed. The stars are the clearest I’ve ever seen. Craig, Shirley & Sarah work so hard for everyone to enjoy themselves. On Thursday night, they had a Country & Western singer who entertained everyone around the biggest, humongous open fire near their Bar. And served us all home cooked damper. Craig and all his staff and volunteers entertained us with their antics and hysterical songs. In fact, I can’t get “Running Bear and Little White Dove” out of my mind.

One of the friendliest parks we have stayed in. Shirl, Craig & Sarah treat all their guests like one of their family. Scrumptious damper & lovely campfire. Country music artist also there to entertain. Will definitely stay there again & highly recommend.|Paul & Katrina Francis

This caravan park was an absolute surprise package. Only 8ks from Charleville, we highly recommend this park. Shirl and Craig are the ultimate hosts, making sure all the facilities were spotless, baking fresh damper every day, opening the great bush bar every afternoon, live music, stargazing. Huge shady flat sites hedged by bushes and trees. A real outback Queensland experience not to be missed. Heaps to do in Charleville, great town. You need at least 3 days to make the most of it. We'd definitely revisit.

What an amazing place! Originally was supposed to stay 3 nights and left 4 weeks later. Shirl, Craig and Sarah are the family who own park and they are the most friendly, beautiful people! This caravan park is going to be hard to beat! They have their own amazing little community at the park. Fire, damper and happy hour every night and live music with Rosco 3 nights a week! So much fun. Walking tracks available, star gazing thru telescope as well! What a place. I can’t rave enough how good it is there! I’ll defs be back!

More like staying in a mates backyard than a caravan park. Really friendly, well looked after and if you time it right there's even entertainment!

Big flat pull through gravel sites with all the services. We were lucky enough to score the damper. The campfire (really a bonfire) is next level.

Have dinner and head back to fire to relax.
