Stopped in with my sister for lunch on Monday, at the Alfresco Brasserie. My sister is a local. We often go there, but I thought I should add a review. The atmosphere is nice and light and airy. The food is consistently enjoyable and filling. The wait staff are warm, friendly and helpful. My sister ate the Sand & Surf ($28.90), consisting of Barramundi fillet lightly dusted with secret sand, pan fried prawns, squid, capsicum, coriander, red onion butter sauce, mash and vegetables. She enjoyed the meal. I ate the Chicken Florentine ($26.90) consisting of 220g of chicken breasts cooked in creamy white wine garlic sauce, spinach, red onion, mushrooms, mash and vegetables. I love the size and taste of the meal and would add it to my favourites list with the Alfresco Chicken which I often eat there. I thought Monday lunch would be a good time to go and it was as far as patrons, lots of tables were available for most of the service. There were two chefs in the kitchen area, yet the service was slower than usual, not sure why. Lucky we weren't needing to return to work. The food is worthy to return to, though. Definitely recommended for lunch.

Decided to head to the Ettalong Bowling Club for a meat raffle and footy night. Raffles were good and we had some success. They had a guitarist playing after the raffles so we thought would move to they other area towards the back with the big screen. The AFL have was on but we were keen to watch the footy NRL - if it's ok with everyone, we asked them to change the channel to NRL - "No - we advertised AFL for here so that's what it stays on" - we left everyone else there watching ( see photo - yep that's our table in the we photo - no one else there) and went to Diggers.

The Ettalong Bowlo has great Malaysian food as well as western. The bar has decent club prices and there are several places you can sit. I came early afternoon for a drink and some lunch and my friend and I were pleased.

This is my first negative review.
Unfortunately a elderly grandmother was set upon and assaulted in this club by a man and his daughter, believe it or not it happened in the stop violence against wemon week. Staff answer to this situation was to kick the lady out and despite requesting her carer be called inside the club to aid her in leaving staff refused.
The people who assaulted the lady had arrived and been let In to the club clearly to heavily intoxicated to be allowed entry to any premises according to the liquor and gaming act. I'm sorry to say you are not safe in this venue and it should be avoided.
For those who have expressed concerns for the ederly lady she is doing her best together over this horrible incident. Police are investigating the venue the people responsible and staff. Oh to top it off the lady who was assaulted was banned from the club by the operations manager IAM unsure if the board of the club are even aware of the incedent. My rating 0/0 Avoid this place like the plauqe . if your Female don't expect the staff to come to your aid. Bad look Ettalong Bowling Club Springwood Street Ettalong beach . Shame on you.

The bistro really let's this place down.
I must say first of all the the staff at the front desk are lovely and welcoming, and the service from the ladies in the TAB bar is fantastic too, even the young fellow at the bistro bar was very pleasant. However the wait staff in the bistro are have quite poor service, not overly rude but they do seek to avoid and ignore their customers. But the food really left something to be desired, our group ordered schnitzels, steaks and ribs, all of which were very below standard in flavour and doneness. There are a lot of fantastic pub meals available on the Central Coast, this particular bistro just doesn't measure up unfortunately.
