We booked last minute for one night the family room and stayed there as 4 adults + 2 young kids.
Compared to other places it was the most affordable one. It is a very basic and quite outdated motel with an amazing location. It is right across the beach, attached to a cafe and very close to shops, restaurants and a playground.
We did have quite a significant problem with the beds which was not ideal, however the way they handled the problem was incredibly guest-focussed and super quick. Problems can happen, but it is the way how the personnel deals with them that matters - hence 4 stars 👍🏼

If you looking for something comfortable and walking distance to beach and shops then this is perfect.
Clean rooms. Comfy bed and a nice little view of beach.

Love this motel & I have become a regular visitor over the last 3 years. Right opposite the water & the views from the upstairs rooms are fabulous. Just around the corner from the shops, cafes & Diggers Club. The rooms are clean & comfortable with lounge, table & chairs, microwave & toaster. On site cafe with outdoor seating open Thursday to Sunday. Staff are very friendly & helpful & I just love this place.

Been coming here since I was a child with my family. Has been a tradition since they where also children. Comfy rooms in and old style motel that has so much charm to it. Great little Cafe out the front and walking distance from the beach and shops. Looking forward to coming again

Stayed here recently on a short overnight stay for business. While some of the fixtures and fittings aren't modern, everything worked flawlessly, the linen was freshly laundered and the place was spotlessly clean.|It's an easy walk to cafes and restaurants, and there's a little supermarket almost directly behind the place a five minute walk down a laneway. Pleasant outlook and all you'd need for a night or two, with off street parking that would be easy to get a large SUV in and out of. I'd be very happy to stay here again.

Wendy very kindly honoured my booking from more than a year and a half ago. The room was clean and has all amenities: kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, cutlery and dining sets for 2 as well as quiet air con, wifi and television.
My bed was clean and fresh. I checked the pillows and they were new. They were so comfortable that I ordered the same online.
The shower had excellent hot water pressure and toilet was clean.
The view is amazing and apart from La Niña weather, it was a very welcome and hassle free break.

This is my 3rd time I have stayed here but NEVER again. There were NO tiles on the shower floor, stains on the carpet, bathroom window was held up with a toilet roll, towel rack broken and kettle had to be plugged in behind the lounge because that was the ONLY spare socket without having to unplug the fridge, air-conditioner or the TV which would have had to have been re-set and all this for $200 per night.
