So stayed at the pub on Saturday night as we attended a 60th just out of town. The room we stayed in was very roomy and overall a good old fashioned pub room. Loved it immensely. As the pub didn't have a courtesy bus of which you expect in a "1 horse town" so to speak the publican "curtis" was ever so nice and offered to drive us to and pick us up from our party. It's not every day you come across helpful people who just want and like to do nice things. Good ole fashion service in a good ole fashion 1 horse town....👌👌

Brilliant Pub!! My wife and I enjoyed a quick lunch and a drink on the way through Clarence Town and could not have enjoyed the experience more. A perfectly cooked steak and beautifully presented bruschetta was washed down with a cold beverage, the service was excellent and the calm setting of the beer garden made for a lovely experience. Highly recommended if you are ever passing through or in the area.

Wasn’t expecting anything amazing from the recent reviews of the food, but the schnitzel was amazing - piping hot but not over cooked and crunchy as it gets. Gravy was awesome too - would absolutely return for a meal here. The pub itself is absolutely beautiful and seems the owners have maintained its original charm. One of the better pub stops I’ve had on the road, definitely worth a visit!!

Went here with the grand kids, great food you cant go wrong with the classic chicken shnitty. They were playing lovely old timer music, brought me right back. splended beer, garden with some friendly goats for the grankids to play with. great entertainment and a friendly atmosphere. Being in Clarence Town for all my 74 years of life could not have been a better upbringing and this very pub holds many core memories that I hold dearly in my heart. I remember when I was a youngin My old man took me here for my first beer at the age 9, dont worry I wont be passing the tradition ahahaha . Thanks to the lovely staff. Till the day I drop the bucket I will be a proud clarence town local. Thanks again.
