Ordered the Miso potatoes they were lovely but bit soggy for me. Lovely tasty poached eggs. Ricotta pancakes were great as was the scrambled eggs....
Pastries were good but had better.
Lovely service yes a bit pretentious but welcoming. Very expensive though so be prepared to pay up.
Comfortable interior free mineral water and ice cold water, very good!

Equium Social is the optimus maximus of Newcastle cafes. Attention to detail doesn’t go unnoticed. Mid century design influence (Italian leaning?), three water styles on tap for customers (free!) and baked in house blueberry maritozzi, make the visit. Service is professional, friendly and conscientious.Turmeric crepes are a must have and the egg roll is delicious.

After hearing positive things about Equium Social we decided to have our first Newcastle breakfast here. We had a mixed experience. Sam very much enjoyed the porridge noting that the pistachio cream was a genuine treat. I was less impressed with the farmers plate noting that there was a lack of harmony between the individual ingredients and that it was on the pricier side for what was included.

Dined here and had the laksa and eggs b+e roll and the hash , we were sat shortly after arriving despite the place being quite busy , the coffee arrived 15 minutes after ordering and was nice but I wouldn’t recommend the chai as it was quite bitter , the food took about 25 minutes and was all very tasty despite it coming out at different times from each other , the laksa eggs were definitely a highlight and packed full of flavour with quite a well priced portion , the only downside I would say is that it was very loud inside but there’s not much you can do to mediate that when you are as busy as they are , all in all I will definitely be back for the new menu

I've been to this cafe at least five times. Their bacon and egg rolls are my favorite. This is the first time I've had such a wonderful burger bun. I can't imagine how they do it! Magical place

This place is insane. Best Cafe ive been to in the last year. Great Coffee, quality of food is outstanding and the staff are hardworking (they never stop cleaning, re-stocking etc). This place is a great example of how a Cafe should be run.

Place seemed pretty cool! Staff weren’t super friendly though, coffee arrived 30 minutes after the food and was cold, not to mention super tiny for a large as well! Can see why it appeals to some but I feel there needs to be some improvements, especially on the staff front, also in terms of drink management, shouldn’t have to wait that long for a drink when you’ve basically finished your meal, it’s quite expensive for what you get but food definitely seemed quite fresh so that was good! If they actually serve you large coffees and not a small pretending to be a large, then I may go back!

Ps. Change the music, we aren’t at a doof and it’s overwhelming and strange. Maybe put something on that’s more of a vibe and family friendly.
