Envoy Cafe - Sydney, New South Wales

We came here from United States for our, five days trip to Sydney and found this café in the heart of the city. We tried their food on day one and couldn’t resist, from having breakfast here, for the rest of the days. Very nice and kind people, great vibe, clean place and delicious food. Smiles everywhere.

We love the strawberry matcha here and the food especially 18 month prosciutto. So yummy. This is not my first time eat here and get the drinks. The coffee is great. Trust me, you will come again for food and drinks. ❤️

Little did we know that our hotel was just a couple blocks from this gem of a cafe. It is a cute spot with seating both inside and outside. For drinks, they have a simple menu of coffee, matcha, hojicha and smoothies. They also offer a variety of pastries, breakfast items and sandwiches.

We were initially drawn to their raspberry matcha, but when we ordered, the woman (who we believed was the owner or manager) mentioned that the raspberry jam was very tart and therefore might not taste the best due to it being slightly out of season. Instead, she suggested a STRAWBERRY MATCHA for the same price. A raspberry matcha is less common, so it would have been nice to try, but I appreciated her honesty and that she offered an alternative option.

She crafted our matcha with care and served our cups out the pickup window since we ordered them to go. The drinks turned out beautifully with an intense green gradient and layer of deep pink jam. It was excellent! The matcha flavor came through with its natural earthy notes and the strawberry was the perfect complement and not too sweet. There are so many times where I’ve ordered a strawberry matcha in the USA and it always tastes like a strawberry milkshake. Envoy knows how to make it right so that the matcha remains the highlight. They truly set the bar!

We couldn’t resist ordering two HOJICHA BROWNIES (A$7 each) which are a rare find! They are made fresh daily and were the best treat. Fudgy, chewy and infused with the toasted notes of hojicha… very indulgent and rich.

Needless to say, we loved this cafe and would have stopped by at least a couple more times had we been in Sydney for a few more days.

This new cafe is a gem!
I ordered Mortadella & Pistachio Focaccia and capuccino.
There focaccia bread is crispy and easy to shew. Well balanced herb flavour. The pistacchio butter filling is not overpowering - just gives the right creamy goodness! The Mortadella is very generous! Capuccino is superb!

My friend and I had a really nice breakfast here this weekend I would definitely recommend. Decent prices for a city cafe and a good variety. My matcha latte was great as was the pastry. Will definitely be coming by again!

I tried their Focaccia this time and the 1st on the menu was the 18th month prosciutto. The verdict? ...

I tried the famous Focaccia shop at Five Dock and the other famous Focaccia shop near Wynyard, both were good.

But i think Envoy's Focaccia is worthy to be added to "Focaccia Destination" list. Envoy's bread is actually better than one of those shops.

The bread texture was soft and aromatic perfectly paired with saltiness of the sliced thin 18th month prosciutto balanced by the slightly bitter taste from the rockets.

Service was quick and very friendly too, definitely come back.

Good coffee spot to spend some time for a healthy breakfast, with nice music and good vibes. I highly recommend the avocado with eggs toast, and the ice-latte matcha.

This focaccia was so good that it was able to shut me and my yapper friend for a good 15 minutes because we were so busy munching. Their hojicha was really nice
