We had a great stop here for a pint of Guinness and bangers & mash. It was excellent. We met some locals as well, the publican and everyone was extremely friendly. Food and beer spot on, and we were able to warm up and dry our riding gear near the fire, πŸ”₯ thank you, Chris

The Empire Hotel is a great place to stay, the rooms were very comfortable. The free breakfast was just what we needed before our journey. The staff were very helpful. The Hotel is situated in the middle of town. The meals were well presented and very tasty. It was very busy but the service was great. Would love to return and stay more than one night there.

My son and I stayed for two weeks, and it really felt like home. The most comfortable beds, huge shower area and Amanda, Mark, and staff did everything to make us comfortable. Highly recommended staying here. Cafe is also excellent. Great coffee and breakfast on the weekend. Pub dinners delicious. THANK YOU 😊

Stayed Sunday night after arriving that morning on the ferry. Had a twin share room on the 3rd floor which would have been a bit of a challenge getting the suitcase up the staircases, but we used the fire escape at the rear of the building. The room was clean and the beds comfortable although it was a bit warm as the room didn't have air conditioning so we slept with the window open and the pedestal fan running all night. We enjoyed a delicious meal in the front dining room overlooking the street, served by attentive and friendly staff. Breakfast was provided in a communal room on the 2nd floor and was more than adequate. We had exclusive use of a large bathroom just along the corridor from our room, fluffy white towels, big shower and good hot water. All in all well worth staying there.

Came to get some food, left MORE than disappointed. Really, it's an understatement. I feel utterly disgusted. It's as of they slapped me in the face and laughed. The service was fine, but the meals were downright embarrassing. Do not eat here. Salad: took a lettuce, cut it in four and sprinkled some cheese (28 dollars) "fish": filleted a fish, cut the fillete in HALF, and charged 37 dollars We left still hungry, and 196 robbed from us. Literally. "Steamed vegetables" were two and a half soggy carrots. This value for money has to be somewhat illegal.

I come to Deloraine on a regular basis but have never stayed here before. I am so impressed that I have booked to stay again in August and December. The customer service and friendliness of the staff is absolutely outstanding. My room and bathroom no complaints at all and to top it off it includes breakfast and free wifi what more can you ask for. Thanks so much

The empire hotel in Deloraine is one of those hidden gems that you find and can never get enough of. Every time I visit I make sure to take time out for an empire hotel dinner. This may have been my fourth time here within the last 2 and a half years and each time even with a different seasonal menu EVERY item is almost Michelin star worth in my eyes. The service is impeccable and the food is unlike anywhere else, I am surprised to read one review previously by Etem which shows a cropped photo and dramatisation of what I am sure would have been an excellent meal. I suppose it is not for everyone but if you enjoy cozy cottage vibes by a fire, red wine and what feels like a hearty home cooked meal I cannot recommend this place more. My only recommendation is some lighter jazz or classical in the fire room, the pop music that I’ve heard doesn’t go as well with the ambience as I think instrumental would. Regardless I will be back and can’t wait to see what the new menu will have, 11/10 stars!!

Nov 2024. We only stayed 1 night. The building was lovely with lots of original details but needed a good clean inside and out. It could be a beautiful place with some attention to detail. Our room was on the top floor with a lovely view. We booked a room with a balcony and were very disappointed when we discovered that the balcony was closed in and was actually a part of our little room. We found the beds to be very firm but clean. The bathroom was recently renovated and very pretty. We did discover wasp nests in the folds of the dusty curtains when we woke in the morning. Would not have spent the night if we had seen that when we arrived. The breakfast room was pleasant and offered a good selection of teas fruit cereal and bread. The staff were very friendly. Would we stay again? Probably not.
