My wife and I got married here earlier this year and it is the most stunning and beautiful venue, Laura and Gavin are incredibly helpful, super down to earth and friendly. They helped us every step along the way with 10/10 communication, we never felt pressured or rushed, and the venue really has everything you need! Bring your own photographer, catering and flowers and thats it (they have great recommendations too btw). Its such a magical place up in the forest, from the main room to the lush backyard. Excellent value for money and a day that we will never ever forget thanks to them. If you are looking for a stress free and peaceful wedding venue this is the one!!

Elm House is an incredibly whimsical and beautiful place with so much soul. I could not have imagined anywhere so gorgeous, it was the wedding venue of my dreams. Being able to stay in stunning accommodation onsite with a rainforest outlook was also peaceful and perfect. Gav and Laura have created a space unlike any other.

We had the pleasure of attending the Summer in the Mountains event hosted by Elm House and were fortunate enough to stay in the exclusive Elm Studio.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary there, and it was an absolute treat! The studio had everything we needed, offering a peaceful and quiet retreat surrounded by the beauty of the rainforest.

We highly recommend this stunning location for couples looking for a getaway—and even better, for hosting your next event!

Laura and Gav have transformed Elm House into such a beautiful venue and country lodge. Felt so invigorating being surrounded by forest, in the homespun, ethical and idylic house that they've lovingly repaired and upkept. And the event space is gorgeously renovated while keeping the old world charm of the historical building. A magical time in amongst the woods!

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience at Elm House because, quite simply, it’s wonderful. We had the pleasure of staying at the Elm House studio on the property, and the following day we attended a Christmas Feast luncheon at the venue. What a fabulous weekend!

Firstly, the accommodation: we were blown away by what a unique and beautiful space it is. Every care was taken to ensure we enjoyed our stay, and the attention to detail was commendable. This place is big! With both upstairs and downstairs areas, a huge claw bath, a comfortable bed, and a fully equipped kitchen, the quaint sitting area is just charming. So much love and work must have gone into the restoration.

My husband, who is German and doesn’t usually comment much, was also taken with the place. He said, “Sleeping in the bed with that view, you can’t get much better.”

The venue where we attended the four-hour luncheon is spectacular. It’s where I assume weddings are held, and it’s truly breath taking. The luncheon comprised of platters and platters of food, beautifully presented and delicious. We were so full!

This was such a memorable two days—like a good book that lingers for a while—hence my review. The memory of this weekend will stay with me for a long time. You won't regret it.

We’ve stayed here on two separate occasions now. Both stays were absolutely wonderful. What a treat. You’ll take in the absolutely stunning surrounds from the whimsical timber house, just minutes walk from some of the best hiking trails on the mountain.

The hosts go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as comfortable and memorable as possible, even down to the fresh, home baked bread waiting for you upon check in.

Such a beautiful space! I have hired the Elm House to host day long yoga retreats and have been so happy with the space and the service. On arriving, retreat participants immediately comment on how beautiful the space is - filled with love, warmth, style and gorgeous little touches. The big windows invite the rainforest in, making it a perfect mountain experience. I'll definitely use the space again, thanks Gav and Laura 🙏
