Very quaint , pretty Cafe with great tasting food drinks n very friendly and courteous staff. One has to be quite agile to fit into tight spaces n narrow staircase upstairs to upper levels…
We were sat upstairs in a very pretty room but felt tight with a screaming baby sat next to our table throughout half of our lunch🥲
Think normally it would be quiet n easy to converse…
Thank goodness the excellent food n good service made up for it! Mushroom pasta was a big hit! Coffee is great too👌👏🏻👏🏻

the cafe itself is super cute and comfortable. we got a table within 10 mins even during peak hour, welcoming staffs who are offering to help. food and drinks came quickly. we got the mushroom pasta which was a 10/10!! the kimchi sando was yummy just a tad bit dry but the bulgogi was well seasoned. drinks were both delicious and presented so nicely. i got the strawberry matcha and asked for a little latte art and it was adorable. matcha tasted good quality and the hibiscus lemonade was really good too. highly highly recommend 🫶

There’s a lineup for the restaurant but the staff on 23/06/2025 at 12.53pm just got 2 Korean girls cut the line before almost 4-5 people in the line. I haven’t tried the food yet, but it made me really upset because I was standing in a line for about 25 minutes. Not sure if it’s because it’s korean owned, so that they let those Korean people in before all of us.

Updated: the food was so good. I had mushroom pasta one, and it’s impressive. Love the food.

One of the coziest brunch spots in town serves fine food & beverage menus that would uplift ur day and also the friendly staffs as well. Everyone shouldn’t forget to see upstairs dining area which has the cute and unique decor&ambience giving you like a fairytail vibes. I know the place has been really hyped with long queue, but definitely it is worth the hype I’d say.

I had the Okonomiyaki and it was absolutely delicious! Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while. Highly recommended to everyone—whether you’ve tried it before or it’s your first time. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

a cute lil spot in surry hills, super aesthetic and a great place to hang out with friends ! 💕 the place had limited seating though so i’d recommend coming in smaller groups. the workers r really nice, and the food is really tasty too, although on the expensive side 💸 would defs recommend trying the matcha!! it’s sweet and creamy too. overall id come back here again 🥰

One of those cafes just got everyone too hyped up by food influencers. Everything is mediocre as best. Seatings are very tight. We ordered crab linguine and brisket burger. The tanginess from tomato sauce was just so overwhelming that you can’t even taste any crab, plus overcooked pasta, the whole thing tasted like canned pasta. Brisket burger was nothing special. We also ordered houjicha and matcha that just so watery down, it’s tasteless and pricy (might be the ratio is not correct? But if you know, you know).

I booked Ellu Cafe to celebrate my birthday and we all loved it!! The set menu was delicious and very filling, and the room was just gorgeous. My favourites were the burrata, mushroom pasta, creme brulee french toast and matcha basque cheesecake! The staff were also extremely attentive and accommodating throughout the entire process of planning and showed us such generosity and warmth on the day. I appreciate it so much and thank you again to the team at Ellu Cafe 🥳❤️
