I was living here while working for the FIFA Fan Festival Tumbalong Park in 2023 and just thought I’d come back to review (a little late I know)

Great spot, really nice place. Respected by staff when I was working any night shifts to skip housekeeping my room - I’d do it myself when I woke up or organised with them when I’m at work to come in and clean.

Natasha was a very quiet, kind and helpful lady, she wanted to help me out as soon as I said I was struggling to find a place and that a tenant there recommended me - she had me in a room immediately, and I’d always have a chat with her when she was out and around the hostel, and very kind welcoming me back anytime on the day I flew back to Albury to get home to Wangaratta.

Definitely recommend for affordable living in Potts Point

I have lived at East End Lodge
since January 2021.
It's a great place.
It's clean.
It has a kind of hippy charm
vibe all over the place.
Electricity included.
Free Wi Fi and You Tube TV
channels so when it's raining
you can watch documentaries
and movies.
Rooftop with BBQs set up.
A great place to watch the
fireworks up there if you
want to watch them.
An eclectic myriad of
people live here.
It's like the New York
Chelsea Hotel in some
ways.
It's a fascinating digs to
live.
It's reasonably priced.
The rooms are great...
And Miss Natasha from
Czechoslovakia she is
the manager here.
Natasha is the hostess
with the mostess.
I could not recommend
a better place to stay.
Oh and also my own
ensuite bathroom.
My own kitchenette.
And a laundromat on
every floor.
The only people that
complain about East
End Lodge are the
troublemakers.
They get booted.

It's true there are heaps of small cockroaches and the room may not be posh 5 stars. But you get what you pay for. The place is alright relative to other boarding houses with higher weekly prices. Most importantly the weekly cleaner and the manager, Natasha are rather professional and polite. Would definitely be open to staying here again whenever I'm in Sydney. Compared to other places, it's good value and you get your own kitchen with oven plus stove and sink, which wins major cookie points from me. Overall satisfied with my stay so far.

The building has been renovated (in 2020) and the studio apts are great.
Super easy.
Hassle-free.
A great temporary home while I got setup and settled in Sydney.
Natasha has her finger-on-the-pulse.
No issues or problems.
No noise from others.

It's cheap.
I got my own kitchenette.
I got my own bathroom.
A laundry on every floor
with washers and dryers.
No bills.
Cable television.
And Natasha, the girl that
manages the place is a
real sweetheart.
I could not recommend this
place more highly.

Natasha, runs an amazing lodge at East End. Rooms were fully refurbished during my last stay there. Comfy bed, TV in room, modern kitchenette, ensuite and a roof top with a fantastic view! What more could one want? Affordable weekly rates, central location, 15 mins max to Sydney CBD. Close to several majory parks, harbourside locations, public transport (Kings Cross station, Busses to Sydney CBD and surrounds.
If you land a room here, you are going to experience an amazing stay.

I cannot warm you enough about the horrific living arrangements and heinous lodge manager, Natasha. Do not stay here. It is not safe. Any staff member can access your room at any time.

The mattresses are old with painful springs. Carpets, linen and curtains are soiled and falling apart. Kitchen made of dirty stove that didn’t work. Nothing is updated and the whole apartment blocks reeks of smoke.

However all this pales in comparison to Natasha. Whom requests that you pay rent by throwing an envelope filled with cash through her window at select times. She smokes in the foyer of the apartment block. She is threatening and unpredictable - not safe to be around.

In all honesty the reality of living here was so terrible that it was reminiscent of a movie set depicting a run down low income apparent in the wrong area of New York.

Very nice place. Very clean and new. Has everything you pretty much need. Close to shops, public transport and the CBD.
Natasha is a very nice lady, very approachable, and looked after me ever since I first came here. I stayed here for 4 weeks, and I have to say, great experience. I am planning to stay here long term. Highly reccomended.
