Arriving at the Private Island is an awe inspiring experience. You feel like you are embarking into a movie production set in Paradise.|East Bedara Island is simply gorgeous. The first thing you notice after leaving the sandy beach through the private gate is the huge deck with lounges, BBQ,dining and a huge TV to play your favourite music or watch a movie. The natural swimming pool is incredibly divine, warm natural sea water day or night, you can swim naked and embrace the sound of the ocean greeting the rocks behind you.|The main home is beautiful and has all the amenities you need. It is extremely clean and well maintained. Gorgeous bathroom with natural light, lovely comfortable beds and a very well equipped kitchen. There is everything you need, from sea canoes, swim suits, fishing equipment, books, games and general medical, nothing has been left out.|Day or night you will be mesmerised by the sprawing ocean and the glorious scenery of the Australian coastline in front of you with Dunk Island taking centre stage to any photos. Walks through the tropical gardens are romantic and relaxing, you will even come across some beautiful wildlife. There is an abundance of sea life from sharks, to fish and freindly eels, whilst the local lizards and crabs bask in the sunshine on the rocks both on your deck and below in the ocean each day.|Our stay was absolutely magnificent. Where else in the world can you feel like the only 2 people left on earth on a private slice of paradise, yet you have beautiful caretakers completely out of sight but willing to take you on a fishing adventure,cook for you, chat with you and to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. We arrived as guests, but left as good freinds.|We would definitely recommend this beautiful Island to anyone wanting to be married, ( they can arrange everything for you ) take a honeymoon or just to escape life and become one with the love of your life and embrace each other's company and the elements of nature and the ocean that wraps you in its beauty. We left rejuvenated,relaxed, happy and more in love with each other. We were so sad to leave as we were so in love with the beauty and the silence our souls experienced.||What else can we say but it definitely was paradise and heaven on earth and we cannot wait ro return as soon as possible.

We had a fantastic 10 days at East Bedarra Island. We were surprised and delighted to discover that the house included two wonderful caretakers, George and Heidi. They were absolutely amazing and made our stay more than special. ||From recommendations for where to go and what to do to on the island, anticipating our every need, answering every question, as well as providing some history of the islands and also sharing some very enjoyable chats with us, they were absolutely phenomenal. ||The resort included a deck overlooking the sea where we spent most of our time gazing at the beautiful water, wildlife, stars and even a treat of observing some bioluminescent algae. We loved our time at East Bedarra Island, specifically because of George and Heidi, and would be excited to return.

We booked the 5 day elopement package for Easter 2023 and WOW!!!||Straight off the plane from Cairns we were greeted with Warren from Paradise Limousines who was so accommodating, super helpful and just an all round top guy. We then were dropped to Annette from The GBR fishing island tours who was warm, welcoming, humorous and a wealth of knowledge. As the boat got closer, paradise opened up. We were greeted by the caretakers, Heidi and George who honestly were outstanding throughout the whole stay. Anything we needed, they were onto it and with such positiveness, kindness and genuineness. They even took us around the island for a free private tour on their personal boat, what a win! ||The villa was in immaculate clean condition with fresh flowers daily. The deck was phenomenal. I still close my eyes and revision either laying on the swing with a cocktail in hand or on the daybed one metre from the ocean, feeling the warm sun caress my skin. There were endless swimming spots between the selection of mesmerizing island beaches or our very own private pool with water activities galore.||We were married on the sand infront of the ocean bay and coconut palms as our backdrop. Heidi and George were our witnesses. It was the most intimate ceremony that we shared with perfect strangers who in that moment became so much more to us. ||The weather was consistently 28-32 degree days with clear skies and clear waters. The nights were warm with a breeze but you need to leave all doors and windows open to really feel it. Overall, we could not have asked for better weather.||I still get goosebumps thinking about this whole experience at East Bedarra Island. We will be going back on our anniversary in the next few years so we can provide the experience to our children and well... go back to paradise!!

I have always wanted to stay at the East Bedarra Island Retreat and when my husband and I finally visited for my 50th birthday, I most definitely wasn’t disappointed!|The photos just don’t do it justice. It is literally an island paradise and one which I didn’t want to leave.|A special mention has to go to the caretaker George who went out of his way to make our stay the best it could possibly be, including taking us fishing where I was lucky enough to catch a Spanish mackerel. From eating oysters straight off the rocks, to paddling around the bay, to cooking freshly caught fish on the weber, to reading books on the comfy lounges on the deck……the list goes on 💙

Our trip to Bedarra Island exceed our expectations. Jade and Rob who own the boat/car transfer business went out of there way to help organise provisions for the trip. As others have mentioned George and Heidi are outstanding caretakers and there genuine warmth and friendship made the island experience extra special. The house was spotless , bed was very comfortable and kitchen was well set up .Spent hours just watching from the deck, fished, slept on the daybed, kayaked, swimming, oysters, spectacular scenery. Will be back.

Everything about East Bedarra Island Retreat is amazing! We spent 10 nights here and it’s absolute paradise. Cannot commend the caretakers enough for their extra added touches Eg. daily beautiful flowers & checking in to see if we ever needed anything etc.
The perfect location for a honeymoon! We will definitely be back.,.

This is one of the most romantic getaways we have ever stayed at. Pleasingly this was our second time to stay at this property. We stepped off the transfer with Mission Beach Charters, straight on to our private beach at East Bedarra Island Retreat and were met by the lovely caretakers Margie & Mike. They showed us around the villa over the sea, made sure we knew how everything worked and then left the island.
We were then on what seemed like our own private island, despite the other several homes situated further up the island. This place is amazing!!
The villa is full of everything you require, including snorkelling gear, two kayaks and your exclusive private pool.
If you want a truely romantic escape definitely stay at East Bedarra Island Retreat!!!

The accommodation was amazing, the solar power set up needs an upgrade the keep power to the house without restrictions. George and Heidi went out of their way to make out holiday the best it could be. We are going back with the kids. Would recommend it to everybody. I would recommend confirming what type of fishing equipment you are allowed too take. Spear fishing equipment are not allowed.
