Apple pie and cream, with the apples almost like an apple butter, and a classic lemon curd tart washed down with an excellent coffee set us up nicely for the Maritime Museum which is just around the corner.
Plenty of seating through the back of the shop, or couches out on the street.
Might have to come back to check out the toasties, which looked great.

We've entered and the guy behind the counter was making some coffee. We were the only ones standing there. Been waiting for a little while.

He didn't acknowledge us. Total lack of hospitality. So we decided to leave without consuming anything.

The products in the display didn't look fresh either.

Great unassuming little cafe, actually has a another room out the back plus a few tables on the footpath. Really good coffee and a good selection of tasty morning tea treats! + more substantial offerings. Prompt service from friendly staff, highly recommended

Last time I came here I got a takeaway coffee and it was so acidic and salty I winced and had to wash each gulp down with water. One of the worst I've ever had. But I have had good coffee here before aso couple times so I'm not sure which beans you used last week but them beans was wack.

Lovely coffee bar, friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. Espresso was intricate, fruity and full bodied. Toasties were exceptional and I almost ordered another one.

Stopped of for a well deserved mid ride break. Authentic Dutch coffee, prepared by a real Dutchman, with all the trapings of a strong accent. Now it should be said that for some Dutch people, coffee with milk, is coffee gone wrong. Be that as it may this was a great Cappuccino. Water is easily accessible at the bar to refill your water bottle. Do try the cakes, they are great!

Update: popped in again with my own Dutch dependent for a mid ride brunch.
Coffee on this occasion was not so strong, and not the distinctive Dutch flavour of the first visit.
To accompany the coffee, I had a toasted sandwich. Upon paying, I was surprised that the default response was "will that be take away?" Rather than 'Will that be eat in or take away?", the latter acts as an encouragement to enjoy the outdoor seating.
We opted to sit outside, and enjoy the respite. When the toasted sandwich arrived, it came with chips (crisps in UK speak). Whilst common in the UK, it is unusual here. My preference in either location, is not to have them, and I would have liked the sandwich alone or with air fried chips(fries).
