10 year follow up: In mid 2013 I was diagnosed with a pilonidal sinus. I had a surgery to remove it at another hospital which left a gaping wound that took months to heal, and unfortunately the pilonidal sinus quickly recurred in the same place. I went to Dr. Gold at the end of 2013 and he performed a remarkable rotation flap surgery that completely resolved the condition, left me with a closed wound rather than open and was fully healed within a month. It's been 10 years since then and here have been no complications and I am very glad to have put that painful condition behind me.

The 5 Stars is definitely not enough for Dr Darren.
My teenage aged daughter Priscilla had 4 surgeries on the Pilonidal Sinus the wound was left open and never closed in 4 years she was a public patient in Melbourne. We were so desperate to have some closure mentally and Physically.
I googled searched and Dr Darren Gold came up as the best in his field for Cleft Lift.
Between a few emails and phone calls we finally had hope and closure. Dr Darren was amazing from start to finish. We still have one more appointment with him in November 2022.
Dr was nothing but supportive would answer any emails or if we had any concerns after hours whilst we were staying in Sydney. My daughter can finally get into her Tennis with no restrictions. We are forever grateful to Dr Darren Gold , all the medical staff & admin staff.

Do not get a Pilonidal Sinus/Cyst surgery by anyone else in Australia but Dr Daren Gold! Unless they are doing the same flap surgery that Dr Gold does I would not recommend any other Doctor in the country, unfortunately as far as I know he is the only one in the country that current does this procedure the right way.

I have had this surgery 3 times each time it had been a massive disruption to my life and involved spending months in total agony waiting for an open wound to slowly heal, having to make daily doctor visits and eventually the problem with just reoccur. I went to Dr Gold for my 4th Surgery and I am amazed and honestly disappointed that any Doctor in Australia is still doing the surgery any other way. 10 days after the surgery with Dr Gold I was able to live my life almost completely pain free and pretty much do anything a normal person could do other than strenuous exercise.

After 3 surgeons and 15 pilonidal sinus procedures I saw Dr Gold as my last resort. He is caring, compassionate, professional and extremely good in his field. He fixed it first time using the latest techniques. I would not recommend anyone else on the planet for this procedure. He is a genius. Thank you Dr Gold. No words in the world can say how grateful I truely am.

My wife has recently had some major bowel issues and after emailing him was on the phone to her within minutes to discuss the problem, saw her within a week and surgery the next day. He is also extremely experienced and again was blown away by his compassion and genuine enthusiasm to ensure a positive outcome.
