Being a new hotel, all of the amenities were great. Clean modern room where everything worked properly and nothing was broken, worn or chipped. Same goes for the public areas. The lobby and restaurant areas were very chic and modern. Location is very convenient with close proximity to both the CBD centre and the waterfront/Salamanca.||The buffet breakfast was very good. It had all the standard offerings, but it was all very fresh and presented well. Things like frittata slices and greens with the mushrooms gave it that little extra above and beyond the standard fare.||The technology was also great. We checked in via the app and opted for a digital key. We were even able to select from the available rooms. The only glitch was they forgot to release the digital key when the previous occupant departed, but that was a minor inconvenience. They're still working on getting the parking linked to the digital key, after which you can bypass reception altogether when checking in or out. Excellent!||Tip - when bypassing reception on check out, always let them know you're leaving. This way they can clean the room straight away and it can be made available to the next occupant earlier.||A really nice stay worthy of a repeat visit.

Beautiful Hotel. The rooms were super clean and modern. The location is perfect. We will definitely be returning to stay at The Hilton Double Tree. The beds are so comfortable.
The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly and have great customer service. We would like to also mention the staff members by the name of Bishal and Devishka who were so friendly and extremely helpful and have made our stay easy, extremely comfortable and enjoyable. We ended up extending our stay for 2 more nights. 10/10 and we appreciated the delicious cookies thank you!!

My first time to Hobart at Double tree by Hilton. I had an amazing experience after a huge issue when I checked in over my member status. I was only spending three days in Hobart and I thought I have to spend it fixing this issue at the hotel but thanks to Charles he was so Professional, knowledgeable, and quick to help me fix this issue he was amazing. Without me asking for anything, he knew exactly how to make My stay enjoyable. After that, I was greeted by Madhu And confirmed to me that Charles took care of everything on my behalf to make my stay comfortable. I asked Sam at front desk for recommendation and he was also great. I highly recommend the Doubletree by Hilton at Hobart not only the service is amazing by Charles, it’s also great value for the price in this location. Everything was extremely clean, presentable great value for your money. Thank you to all the staff.

We had a great staycation night here using our Hilton points. The cash price is on the high side (as are a lot of the branded hotels in Hobart these days) so 40,000 points was a good deal. As silver members, we were upgraded to a deluxe room on the top floor which had mountain views. The room was tasteful, and I really liked the large Salamanca view frieze over the bed. The bed was comfy and the shower pleasant but I was annoyed by the squeaky noise of the rainforest shower head, so I only used the regular one and the shower gel pack was almost empty. I'm all for pump action packs to save plastic but housekeeping need to check and replace these diligently. ||The pool was really pleasant, and they have a gym and a sauna.||Staff were great and helped me out with an early check-in through the Hilton app messaging service.||Parking is an outrageous $35 pn so we paid $20 to park in the nearby Village carpark round the corner. I think it is terrible to be charging such a crazy price in a small provincial city like Hobart. ||However, 5 star overall. And we love the DT cookies.

Above and Beyond…! yes their customer service is the best. On arrival Joshua greeted us, he was really sweet and keen to help, we even got an upgrade to deluxe rooms and also Kids loved the welcome Cookies, they were delicious.

Room was very modern and clean with a beautiful view. We had half-board booked, loved the variety of options for breakfast. And dinner was exceptional, would like to thank you lovely Jenny and Boom for their service.

During our recent 4-day stay at the hotel, we were impressed the service , from the moment we arrived, the receptionist greeted us with a warm and friendly smile, making us feel welcome right away.
The housemen were impressive, responding to any of our needs immediately.
The breakfast experience was another highlight of our stay. The staff in the breakfast area were exceptional, always greeting us with bright smiles.
The location is perfect too, its near to all restaurant and shopping centre. Its new hotel so everything is new in the room and clean!
Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the future.

Very disappointing experience
We stayed there a week and after the first day thought it was quite a nice hotel and so booked a nonrefundable night for our last night in Tas 10 days after our first stay. Sadly, all the problems only arose after that first night...
First, the AC will randomly make loud clanks (not every night but when it starts you have to stop the whole thing if you want some peace although even then it bangs from time to time).
Then on our third day, the sauna (one of the main reasons we booked the hotel) which had been working perfectly fine on our first night had 2/3 of the resistance off and was therefore struggling to heat to about 60-70C which is pretty pointless. We told the staff and when we came back the next day they told us it was fixed. Except it wasn't. The only thing that has been done was that someone did something to the thermometer to make it show 90C even though it was obvious it wasn't (as we explained to them, at that level the benches would be very hot to the touch. They weren't).
We told them again and they said they had checked and it was working fine. We spent the rest of our first stay explaining to them every time what was wrong but nothing was ever done. On our last morning we told one of the general managers who said he was going to look into it so we were hopeful it would finally get fixed within the 10 days before our next stay. Except it wasn't.
When we came back we were informed they had a technician working on it but it didn't get fixed that day. From the conversation we had with the front staff upon checking in, it seems pretty clear nothing was actually done 10 days earlier by the GM and instead they waited for the heater to completely die before doing anything at all.
Front staff are very pleasant if you don't have any problem but definitely choosing the easy life and doing nothing except smile when there is an actual issue.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at DoubleTree by Hilton in Hobart during our holiday to Tasmania! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They were all so friendly and accommodating. The check-in process was smooth, the room was clean and well-appointed, and the overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. We really appreciated their thoughtfulness, especially as a family with kids.

The kitchen team deserves a special mention—they truly went above and beyond to meet our vegetarian dietary needs. Not only were they attentive to our requests, but they also created delicious, specially prepared meals for us throughout our stay.
