Hostel style hotel. The building and rooms are quite old, but it is right across from the beach and perfect location walking distance to everything! Comfortable enough but wouldn’t rebook - I think we could find something much nicer for same price if we booked earlier.

Nice room in a fabulous location. I stayed in room 25 and had a private balcony filled with plants. A lovely little spot to have a morning coffee. Let cation superb, across from beach and next to the Coogee Bay Hotel.

I wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Far from luxury but really comfortable and homely.

If you’re looking for an affordable room right by the Coogee beach, Dive is great option, but if you want a four-star experience you’ll be disappointed.
We enjoyed our stay and it suited our needs as a couple on a road trip. We were able to wash some clothes, refreeze the elements for our cooler, and refill our water container. The room was spacious, except for the bathroom, and the bed was as big and comfortable. However, the hotel does not fulfil the expectations of a four-star hotel and was a bit worn down (e.g. missing tiles in the shower). We didn’t have breakfast as it was unclear what food was provided by the hotel and what was bought by guests and placed in the communal fridge. The location was great.

The look really nice does not look like the photos advertised on the website. Faulty towers vibes. The room above us had a party the two nights we stayed there, that kept us awake into the small hours. The manager was the best part of our stay. The air-conditioning in our room was just spitting out ice and no cooling air. The manager swapped our room as the party above us was that bad. we thought they'd come through the ceiling, we got a room with air-conditioning that cold it woke us up freezing, but we had a good night sleep. The views were amazing, and the manager was great. Wouldn't stay again. Sorry, coogee dive hotel ! I give you a 1 star ? rating.

The location of this hotel is excellent as it's right across the street from the beautiful Coogee Beach! However, the rooms do not look at all like they are pictured. My room was quite worn and old looking and the entire property is in need of some renovation. I'm surprised this hotel was listed in my Lonely Planet guide! There is also no staff to be found should you get there outside of the hotel office hours. I checked in and checked out without seeing a single person.

Access from road level up to accomodation was arduous due to works underway. Front door does not close/secure properly (found ajar one evening on return). Room was dusty, no screens on windows, fridge was hot - could not cool our food and drink. Only one usable chair in the room. Winding stair to second floor - no lift. Feel this accomodation was overpriced for what we got - only good point was close to the beach. Accomodation seemed more of a boarding house style. Small kitchen and seating area downstairs.

Perfectly located right on Coogee Beach and next door to a huge pub with tremendous meals. Walking distance to everything. Whilst it's an old property, the room was spacious and very clean. Can't comment on the wifi because when I travel I leave all that behind me. |Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here at the end of February 2023 for 3 nights, the place is in need of some investment. It was clean enough but the room is tired. The photos online make it look like there are views however our room had frosted windows to let light in but we couldnt see out and there was no view at all. The bathroom was about the size of a small shoe box with no room to swing a cat. The bedroom it's self was big and the bed was nice and comfy. The front door was locked but didn't feel very secure and the back door kept on being wedged open by someone (we did keep on closing it again) I wouldn't stay here again however if its just the beach that you are looking for then the location is perfect. You do have to cross a road to get to the beach but that's no big deal. The stairs up to the room are quite tight and if I was old with a big bag I would have definitely struggled as there were no staff about when we checked in (we were a bit late and I'm sure staff would have helped if we had asked though)
