Visiting the lava tubes with one of the guides is an outstanding experience, not to be missed. We were entertained and educated, in the most amusing, easiest possible way and enjoyed seeing the phenomena that has made these tubes. Do it!|There are various walking trails from the centre and, had I been told that “well marked trails” meant small coloured triangles on trees, I would have found these paths and not wandered about confused reading the large prominent signage to “Caravans,” “Visitor Parking,” “No Parking,” etc.|Accommodation in converted railway carriages was quirky with good use made of the original features like luggage racks. It was comfortable with air-conditioned bedroom and separate sitting room. The en-suite bathroom was very small but had a good shower. Ceiling fans also worked well. The double bed was easy to move away from the wall to allow easy access from either side. A stroll down memory lane for those who remember the old carriages with compartments opening from a long corridor.|The railway theme continues in the dining area at Undarra, most of which was open air under a high canopy reminiscent of capital city railway stations. Our dinner was disappointing, the main course grossly oversalted to the point of inedibility. What the bush breakfast lost in “gourmet” it retrieved in ambience. At both dinner and breakfast one must defend, seriously, one’s meat against opportunistic sweeping kookaburras.

Undara is an amazing place the park is so peaceful and the atmosphere is just so relaxing. The tour we did was informative and interesting. Will have to return to do some more of the tours. Loved the park and the staff were friendly. Didn’t eat at the restaurant but menu looked great. Amenities were clean. Booked in for the bush breakfast was delicious and fun.

Nice surrounding with lots of space for backpackers, holiday seekers, campers and mobile homes. Special shaped tents are setup as well as converted railroad wagons. Good food, nice bar and friendly staff. Also at reasonable price. 😊

The resort is quaint and very well cared for. The staff are terrific. The lava tube tour with guide (Ken) was just marvellous. So amazed to see and learn about this incredible place.

What a true wonder of Australia!! If we had known how much there was to see we would have stayed a 2nd night. The tour was amazing and Graham was very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. The camp site was really spacious with power and running. We were close to the amenities block which was well maintained. The bar was very interesting with its layout of old train carriages. Definitely worth seeing👍

Stayed in our Hybrid Camper for 2 nights, enjoyed the atmosphere. Pretty Face Wallabies meander around the camp ground. The tours of the lava tubes extremely interesting.|Meals are excellent, staff friendly and helpful. Down side are the toilet & shower facilities

We were 2 couples and for something unique we booked to stay in railway carriages! We loved it tho my friends(from Oz) missed the aircon!|Whilst there we booked sunset trip,lava tubes and bush breakfast!!! |Hubby even tried kangaroo meat when we ate our evening meal and had a few drinks!|Enjoyed the experience as a stopgap on our way to cairns!
