Stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin that was clean and comfy. The living area might feel a bit cramped, but it had all the amenities. There were some minor maintenance issues that should be looked into. Loved the natural bush setting of the park and the way the cabins were set up.

Advised to to bring bottled drinking water. The water from the tap is not suitable, which they clearly state. Plus, telephone signals are sketchy and WiFi is only in the office. But this is to be expected considering the location and the price point. This is a place for the every day traveler. The office also has some grocery items for sale, which is convenient if you need something.

This is a great place to set up as a base if you want to do a multi-day exploration of Cradle Mountain.

This is one of the best parks I've stayed at. With the warm welcome on arrival to the lovely site with it's own picnic table.
The camp kitchen was one of the best I've experienced. Full ovens, gass cooktops, microwaves, deep sinks with plenty of hot water.
The fireplace just adds to the ambience.
The bathrooms were well appointed with plenty of hot water and heated flooring.
The cleanest dump point I've used.
Short walk to the information centre and buses.
Cradle Mountain did not disappoint. Absolutely magical 🙏😍

This would have to be the best accommodation we have stayed in throughout Tasmania! The Premium Cabins at Cradle Mountain Discovery Park are amazing didn’t want to leave from the king size bed to the underfloor heating was just beautiful! Fluffy bath robes supplied…….A great gas fireplace! Electric blinds & beautiful sheer curtains it’s just pure luxury!
Full size kitchen with everything that you need to cook a Sunday roast if you wanted too.
The bathroom has a large bath big fluffy bath towels & a great shower with a rain head! again pure luxury!
There is a back deck which faces the bush there is a table & chairs to enjoy a quiet drink while enjoying the serenity.
I recommend if you are going to Cradle Mountain & need accommodation then give the lodge a big miss & stay here you won’t regret it you’ll think you’re on your honeymoon again just amazing!
Great value half the price of the Cradle Mountain Lodge!
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this accommodation it was pure joy to stay

Pre booked 2 night stay on a powered 18’ site. Super helpful staff via email and phone, plus a really warm welcome check in. The park is well laid out, one way roads, easy access sites, many with trees either side for privacy. The amenities were busy given it was Easter but clean and an added bonus, heated. Laundry was also good, coin operated machines and driers which were $1 coin per 9 or 10 minutes. Washing lines are also available.
Camp kitchen was amazing, huge central fireplace, plenty of seating, cooking and refrigerators to accommodate many, plus outside were pizza ovens, a Weber BBQ and flat grill BBQs. Something for all.
The park is walking distance to the visitor centre as well.
Really enjoyed our stay, should have planned better and made it longer.
Highly recommend choosing this park for your stay up the mountain.

I would have given it zero star if I can. Stay away from this place at all cost.

We paid $255 for one night in this "cabin" and couldn’t wait to leave. .

Check-in felt careless—no staff, just a vague text because reception closes at 5 PM. We clearly booked Discovery Resort and was directed by an 'after-hour staff' to Discovery Parks.

When arrived, we were a bit shocked of what is waiting for us. We booked a 'two-bedroom' cabin and it was so cramped for just two people we could barely move.

The stove is literally next to the toilet. I don't think this is even legal. In Australia, you need to have two doors between the kitchen stove and the toilet.

There is no sense of space or feel, this place feels like some random people just throw random furniture picked up from council collection so they can make a few quick bucks.

Make sure you take enough drinking water and for cooking (if you intend to cook next to the toilet) because the water from the tap is yellow. I would not drink it even after boil it.

The only positive for this place is the heater is working well, —so at least we were warm while plotting our escape.

The one star is for the roof over my head during 1 degree climate.

Lovely customer service, I think It was Teresa I spoke to and she was very kind. Heated toilets were great, camp kitchen was also super clean and nice to hang out in. Loved that the park still felt like you were in cradle mountain and there was lots of the natural landscapes still there. We’ll be back!

We grabbed a bargain $20 per night on a powered site for 5 nights. We were so lucky to be there for the first proper snowfall of the season!
We visited the park lots of times, absolutely gorgeous.
Amenities and facilities on site were excellent.

The photos of the premium cabins are misleading. Don't get me wrong, inside they are luxurious and modern, and very pleasant to stay in. But the surrounds aren't much to write home about... you get a unidirectional view of some bushland, but otherwise it's boardwalk/ramps and cut down trees and stumps.
