Great location in a quiet part of the city but close to attractions. We brought our car so can’t comment on the accessibility of public transport. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I forget his name I interacted with one employee his name starts with b like Bernie. Anyway he was great. The room itself had everything we needed and wanted just could see it needed a really good dusting in same places but nothing to really set you back. The kids loved staying here and if we come back to Brisbane it’s definitely going to be the place we will be staying again.

Handy to showgrounds and great room.

It said free off street car parking but you need to book it! Super handy with an injured person when they tell you it is full and then have to pay $60 to park half a kilometre away for the weekend.

Would have been nice to know when I booked 6 months ago. Just saying.

One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I called reception at 2 PM to let them know I’d be arriving at 11 PM. They sent me a link to fill out with my ID and credit card, which I completed, but I never received any confirmation—just an invoice.

When I arrived, I called as instructed and was given a code that was supposed to provide me with a key and a remote for the car park space I had paid for. That didn’t happen. When I called back, they told me I should have received the key but no car park remote, so I’d have to leave my car on the street. Great idea—except there’s no street parking in this area, which is exactly why I booked a car space in the first place. I had valuable items in my car and no safe place to park, so I ended up spending the night in my vehicle.

The staff didn’t care at all and basically told me it wasn’t their problem and they couldn’t help. If they had just informed me earlier that this would be an issue, I would have arranged alternative accommodation. Absolutely the worst communication and customer service I’ve ever experienced. Avoid this place at all costs.

A fantastic surprise!
Plane was a couple of hours late and Reception was in constant contact with where to find keys and park car … very safe overnight for $15.

The room was spacious with a King bedroom plus a Queen bedroom, each with its own bathroom/toilet, a well-appointed kitchen overlooking a spacious living area and balcony, overlooking Eagle Farm Racecourse.

Nice selection of refreshments and bathroom toiletries.

Huge storage area, washer/drier, clotheshorse, iron /ironing board.

Newish thick-pile carpets in bedrooms and wood-grain large floor tiles which are lovely to walk on.

TV with cable stations, in bedrooms and living area.

An outdoor private balcony plus access to rooftop with great views.

*Beautiful bed linen
*Really fluffy and soft, large towels
*AC throughout, with separate controls for each room plus ceiling fans with central light
*New cream colour, block-out blinds

Suggestions:
*Accessible showers where the elderly, disabled, pregnant, injured can safely shower.
*Grab bars are needed both in and out of these showers.
*There’s no where to hang a towel or grab a towel.
*The rectangular mirror in the living area would be better hung low enough to see it … it’s way above head height.
*Access to the front balcony could easily be rectified to cater for disability; definitely a short grab bar or rail.

The location is easy to find and walking distance to local IGA store open till early evening.

I would definitely stay here again. 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Friendly staff, amazing location and easy access to Bowen Hills and Fortitude Valley train stations as well as local cafes and a local IGA. Rooms were huge and the views were incredible. In close proximity to RBWH so some ambulances can be heard at night but all in all, was not too detrimental to our stay.

This review is for their sister property: Governor On Brookes, 44 Brookes St Bowen Hills BRISBANE where we stayed. I could not find it on this search? Clearly this property attracts all sorts looking for a short stay close to the city ... and some were a bit scary!||This place is a shocker. I booked it for 4 weeks (paid in full up-front) through Airbnb and that was my first mistake. One, that I booked it for so long sight unseen and two, that their agent MadeComfy did not live up to their name in any way! ||1. We arrived and other than for the parking fiasco ... it looked okay. Then the _ _ _ _ hit the fan. Due to outdated development approvals, this and their one up the road (Pavilion on Brookes) are able to avoid providing ANY visitor parking whatsoever. That's right, ZERO for something around 100 apts! You can pay $4 p/h in the street to the culprits (Brisbane City Council) if you want or get fined $161 for parking in a no-time-limit-marked Loading Zone for 30-40 minutes!|2. The apt itself was bearable. The pictures they show on their site from the original display unit are nothing like what you get. a) The toilet seat lid had a huge crack right across the top of it and the filth around its hinges was foul and disgusting! b) Bulbs were missing in the 1x kitchen light fitting. c) The place was very dark - due to very old and failing lighting throughout. d) Power points were ridiculously scarce. I had to use leads and power boxes to get adequate (and kinda safe) power. e) The stench coming from the bathroom drain was unbearable. THESE WERE ALL REPORTED MANY TIMES TO MADECOMFY and other than apologise and say we'll fix it etc, etc ... they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, ZERO, ZILCH about any of it!!! |e) Inadequate kitchen plates, cooking utensils etc. f) The lounge was old and grubby.|There's more ... but I hope you get the picture. The place was reasonably clean when we arrived ... but the whole apt is tired and worn - and needs a complete refurb.|After copious complaning emails from me (mostly responded to by various staff at MadeComfy ... but with ZERO ACTION) and threats that I would take this further, they offered a small refund of what amounted to approx. 4 days of rent. A stay I will never forget and NEVER return to.

On arrival I was met by a gentleman at reception who has the most exceptional customer service. Extremely helpful and friendly. |I arrived a little early and the room wasn’t quite ready yet however still able to utilise the booked undercover car space. |The room was lovely and clean and has everything you could need. |The bed and lounge were very comfortable. Ample clothes storage in the walkthrough wardrobe leading to the bathroom that has a nice large shower.||During my stay I accidentally locked myself out of the apartment after hours. A quick phone call with the lovely lady who answered and the gentleman I met at reception previously had another key ready for me within 5 minutes . Nothing was too much trouble and both staff members were so very patient and understanding. ||Would definitely stay again.
