I don't know why some people have lost their mind and have given 3 ratings or below. I checked in multiple rooms of this hotel. I used 'Red center' 25% off scheme and I was staying in double room for $75 - $80 a day. Rooms have everything you need plus there is swimming pool outside if you feel heat. I did go to other hotels in town for 3/4 days and stayed in this hotel for 4 days as well, this hotel beats what you get for value for money. Tavern is next to it, and it's right in front of all the banks, fast food, shopping centre and car hires. This hotel is underrated. I don't care if door looks old in hotel. Other hotels I went to were pricey and they had either no carpet on the flood or they were just caravan type of accomodation with cosy space. This hotel is value for money and great location.

Right near centre of town so ideal for access. I got there from airport by shuttle for $AU20. The checkin was very quick and when I asked for a downstairs room (big bag-no lift) they happily gave me one. Room was dated but clean with nice big tv (though the reception was glitchy). nice to find a kettle with plenty of tea n coffee. There was also a fridge to keep your water and snacks in. Bathroom also dated but well appointed. Water was lovely and hot. I was pleased to find a bath in mine! Hotel has a cafe and a bar/restaurant attached. Food and service was good in both. security is good at night as they have gates that close it off (though there is someone on all night in case you get back at midnight from the Uluru day trip…

Great location particularly with cafe and tavern. Food was good and easy to access. No noise from drunks hanging around and being a solo female traveller I felt safe at all times. Clean and comfy once air conditioner was adjusted for me.

Cleanliness is very good but there was no hand soap in the bathroom. The location is noisy as the room fronts onto the main car park and walkway. The main disappointment was that the curtains only cover two thirds of the window. For privacy we had to drape a bedsheet over the gap otherwise anyone walking past could see straight into our room.

The room was filthy with no towels or toiletries
The floor was wet in one area and the tv did not work
The following day the room was not serviced and I had to argue to get it serviced
It was noisy overnight
Overnight my car window was smashed and broken into
They didn’t tell me just left me find out in the morning
I had to argue again to get help cleaning the glass out of the car
So unimpressed
Don’t stay here

The hotel emailed me to say that they would like to make up for my terrible stay and could I get in touch with them.
I emailed them to ask how they could make it better but they never responded.
Again why would you want to stay here?

Tired, not the cleanest, shabby exterior presentation and close to all of the police action every night in Alice Springs. What more could you ask for. That said, beer is cold and meals good.

First room smelt not nice, was upgraded and moved by a kind receptionist. Noisy with live music, solid sleep thought. Would recommend for location and pool.

The carpets are filthy and disgusting the toilet leaked all night and kept us awake. Charged extra for a stain on the sheet. Spa did not work. Terrible place to stay. Would not recommend staying here as it is very unsafe noisy and dirty. In centre of town but there are way better places to stay
