We had an amazing time working with Deux Belettes for a wedding we planned and styled on behalf of an overseas client. The venue itself is marvellous and unique in every way and guests were in complete awe from the moment they arrived.

Sharon, Ross, Sven and Elka were wonderful hosts and did everything they could to ensure all the preparations, alongside the wedding went as smoothly as possible. They were unbelievably helpful when it came to all enquiries and we loved how considerate they were when it came to the little touches to show how much they cared.

A big thank you in particular to Elka who went out of her way to research and prepare a traditional Chinese breakfast of congee for the wedding party (who were from China).

Another big thank you to Sven who worked tirelessly from early morning until late night and made sure the grounds looked impeccable. Throughout the day he made sure leaves were raked and all staff and crew properly hydrated with drinks and took care of everyone when they were on their breaks - we couldn't have asked for better hospitality so thank you!

We loved working with Deux Belettes and can't wait to go back to such a unique and stunning venue with a lovely team. Thank you Sharon and the team!

So blessed to be apart of our family wedding at the jaw dropping venue it has everything and every space can not take a bad picture. During the day was just beautiful as we had the ceremony here and think fingerfood/canapés while mingling and having fun. Really felt we were overseas in Italy or France had those vibes for sure and then at night was when the magic happened the only thing everyone hated is that when we had to leave…… was a blast and what a venue with a day we will never forget.

Where does one begin with the description of such an exclusive French/Italian inspired event location?
Beautiful gates - very fitting for the obligatory beautiful gate/long driveway portrait shoot.
Drive through parkland to the circular driveway and the manor, the arbor, the 'gathering hall'. Beyond this entrance, another exclusive world exists only for the invited. This includes a 'chapel', an adjoining grass area and beyond that the large marquee for 70+ guests.
Just stunning and honoured guests will enjoy every moment there. 😱😍👰

I’m so surprised to still see this venue operational. Our wedding was impacted by the Northern Rivers floods. Sharron tried to inform me that my wedding could go ahead even though the venue was cut off, the grounds were damaged, there was no cell service and she herself had been trapped from leaving the grounds for the days leading up to the wedding.
I was informed if I moved the date, it would be seen as a cancellation. They required a further $3000 to move the date, plus $50 an hour for every worker who would need to be available to get the grounds ready.
I was told the wedding would need to be in winter as they were shutting down the venue permanently for weddings.
It is of no surprise that this was all manipulative lies.
Listen to the bad reviews, there is a reason limited wedding planners work with this venue.

This venue is straight out of a fairy tale, there is no other way to describe it, there is nothing else like Deux Belettes. It is hands down the most beautiful and dreamiest wedding venue out there. I cannot thank our photographer Rainee from Cloud Nine Photograph for finding the venue for us and for capturing the enchantment of Deux Belettes in her photos.

Sharon, Ross and Sven went so far above and beyond to make our day perfect and special. From fitting us in at short notice, to the food, to the chandeliers they hung up in the arch for us. We are both so grateful for them and truly cannot thank them enough for giving us the perfect venue for the perfect wedding day.

Posting on behalf of displeased clients with an English barrier.

My clients contacted us for flowers and other planning details . Like any decent business - We provide contracts, terms and most of all transparency. They began to ask us for details outside our scope and inquired if shipping the flowers to this location would be an option based on the local logistics.

From one business owner to another we simply can’t tolerate clients falling into bad arrangements with several flaming red flags and we advised our clients to look elsewhere based on their needs. For one it would negatively impact their view of us by association and for another all event planning business are recovering and are largely focused on rebuilding or protecting their business.

Deux Belettes pretends these simple facts of reality don’t apply to them and is sadly one of the many toxic traits they have since been exposed of.

I can make plenty of excuses for bad communication but ultimately it’s the lack of priority, common sense and general good will that damages relationships.

The owners don’t place any serious effort in communication and while this may be excused due to technological barriers when weddings of all events are involved there’s really no credible reason for this.

Their ideal clients seem to be those who just ignorantly pay without concern and are lucky enough to catch the owners in a good enough mood. I’m posting this as a cautionary tale to any event coordinator who hears of this business as they will unlikely be cooperative and results in several chain reactions of headaches and excuses for their clients and themselves. The water issue is only the one if many they have had in the past and failed to provide warning of.

Lastly, to the owners of Deux Belettes, perhaps consider placing more basic effort in your integrity which is such a strange twist of character from a place that once praised itself for it but now insists on the opposite.

From one business owner to another, do better. We are no longer defending bad industry practices.

Let this serve as a warning for clients and other businesses alike.

I am writing this review as information for anyone considering a wedding at Deux Belettes. I found Sharon and Ross very helpful and we had no problems communicating and organising our wedding. Initially hearing the ‘price’ of holding a wedding at Deux Belettes I was a little taken back as it seems a bit pricey comparatively to other venues.

I can honestly say that every penny was worth it. The venue is stunning. We had a wedding party of only 50 and it was perfect and better than I could of ever imagined. There is the price of the venue itself, plus approximately $2000 of extra hireable items such as lighting, chandeliers etc which are optional and then hiring of both the bridal suite and also room for bridal party to get ready in which is about $650 combined. The rooms are large and beautiful. The groomsman have the luxurious granary to get ready in prior to the ceremony and its just gorgeous and photographs as if you are actually in France.

If you are wanting an exclusive french garden villa vibe this really is your venue. The highlight was the dinner party under the beautiful arches. I feel so privileged we were blessed with beautiful weather and even better suppliers. I would like to especially thank Alstonville Florest for her absolutely perfectly executed flowers from her planned brief and also EatDrink Catering as the food and service was exceptional.

The only one negative. I would not recommend the venue’s recommended planner Hayley Cravigan and as you are required a planner for this venue my personal experience was very unpleasant and unprofessional leading upto the wedding. I have never felt so disappointed as the rest of our suppliers were incredible. I am just warning future Brides as I know there are much more personable planners in the Byron Bay precinct. I was let down numerous times and told that my ‘custom poor mans package’ did not include basically anything than styling on the day. $2000 is alot of money to have basically the poorest customer service I have EVER received for anything in my life. Beware.
