Had my wedding here and it was absolutely fantastic. Adam was great with the organisation leading up to the event. Adam, Sophie, and Chloe/Claire (?) hosted on the night and we can't fault them, they were excellent! Food was fantastic, everyone said to us it was the best meal they've had at a wedding. Really happy we chose this venue. They also catered to a variety of dietary requirements, as we had gluten free, coeliac, vegetarian, vegan, and other allergies.

Last night I went to the DSS Black and Gold dinner. I was impressed with the quality of the food, which equalled that of a very good restaurant. There was just one choice, pork/lamb or both. I had pork, which was tender, moist and tasty with nice crackling. Otherwise fixed selection, but the vegetables and dessert were also pretty special.

The food is excellent. A family of two adults and two kids, we all had seafood: linguine, seafood platter, seafood basket, house batter. Fresh and sensitivity cooked and plated with crisp sides. Generous portions. Pleasantly low prices. Staff delightful. Great Tassie wines. Charming Irish manager Tom. Oh, and fabulous water views. Memorable night. Not what one always get from most yacht clubs. So glad I tripped over place. Lovely walk through quiet streets off Sandy Bay Road. You’d pay a king’s ransom for this in other capital cities.

The new menu is great. Staff are friendly and helpful. I had grilled gem fish which came with a very nice salad that included a variety of vegetables. The chips were excellent and fish was tender.

Doing great takeaways now that the restaurant eat in part can't be used. The scotch fillet meal was super tasty with a generous serving size. Cooked perfectly. The pizza is also delicious. Give their takeaway a go!

I have been here many times and their palmies on Thursdays are exceptional value with a large beer. Fantastic value, would recommend this venue and outlook over the river. Well done.
