This place is an absolute gem! The vibe is unmatched, with a vibrant and cohesive design inside and out that instantly puts you at ease. Whether you’re sinking into a cozy couch, settling at a small table for a chat, or spreading out at a larger one—indoors or outdoors—you’ll feel right at home. And let’s not forget the outdoor seating: pure magic, with a refreshing breeze and stunning river views. Bonus for parents—there’s a playground conveniently located to the left of the cafĆ©, making it perfect for family outings.

The staff? Attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.

Now, about the food and drinks—wow! Every bite and sip is packed with flavor, portions are generous for the price, and everything is served quickly and beautifully presented. The menu offers plenty of choices for breakfast and lunch, with thoughtful options for those with dietary requirements. This place truly delivers on every level.

I can’t recommend it enough and will absolutely be coming back!

We had lunch yesterday at Degani in Capestone for my mother's birthday. We had an exceptional experience from beginning to end, and were well taken-care of by Ralph and his excellent staff.
We ordered coffee (three latte's and an iced coffee), my girlfriend had an aƧai bowl (which she loved) and the rest of us had eggs Benedict (1 x salmon, 2 with bacon). The food was delicious and presented well, and the coffee was some of the best I've had in Brisbane.

I would definitely go here again, and would recommend you make this the venue for a special occasion as the team really go out of their way to make you and your important loved one feel special.

Thank you Ralph and Degani Capestone! We'll be back! šŸ™‚ Riley Dixon

Been here a few times now, food is always well-presented and generous. Drink service is sufficiently quick to make up for food service on busy days, which is often! Friendly and enthusiastic staff. The online menu differs slightly from the printed one, so check both to be across all your options.

I rarely leave reviews unless the experiences are very good or very poor. I’m sorry to say that this review is because the experience was extremely poor. We (group of four ) visited Degani Capestone for lunch on Sunday 8th of December. I ordered the ā€œSignature Smashed Avocado ($20.90). It was appallingly bad. I changed the poached eggs for scrambled and the eggs were OK, but had been piled on top of the Avocado. it’s became apparent why they had put them on top. The avocado was a dark green and black mess which tasted of vinegar and had been made from overripe avocado, which had then made the toast, soggy and pretty well in edible. It was quite disgusting. my wife had the ā€œLemon Pepper Calamariā€ which was almost cold when delivered to the table. I asked waiter for a basket of hot chips, which did not arrive and a while later he came to remove her plate. When it was returned,, some minutes later was obvious that they had removed the chips and calamari and redone them in the fryer. They were not fresh chips as requested. None of ours meals were acceptable and the attitude of the fellow at the till (presumably the boss) was a little aggressive; and certainly not welcoming. To cap It all off, we found that the water bottle had MOULD growing on the inside of its base (ugh! - see photo), so must not have been cleaned correctly for sometime. I will certainly will not be returning there, EVER. And I suggest that you don’t bother doing so. An EXPENSIVE AND HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE -MINUS 5 STARS.

Went this morning and the coffee was great but the smoked salmon in my eggs benedictine was off. Tasted bad and it's color confirmed it wasn't fresh. Manager refunded it right away. Would go back for the coffee but will give it a miss for food.

Just ordered takeaway Acai bowls and received it in cardboard packaging. Wet Acai in cardboard that has had god knows what on it. Absolutely disgusting. Lost me as a customer. Looks absolutely horrible. Cost $18.90 EACH

Great place and beautiful location right on the lake, good service, delicious menu, lots of room and seating, and there’s a play area for kids too.
Big win for me is that they serve all my favourite coffee alternatives (turmeric, matcha etc) + the there’s a walkway that circles the lake and the one of the entry points is right on the cafe’s doorstop šŸ¤—
