First visit here wasn't so great but I wasn't ready to judge just yet so we visited once more and for the last time now. Not going to waste anymore effort with this place, wouldn't serve lunch at 1:00pm although they clearly advertise that they do, the venue is a little run down, obviously it's an older building but I feel that the maintenance is a little below par. Just too far out of our way to warrant another chance and poor service to no service just makes its a complete waste of time

Absolutely disgusting.
It is extremely run down.

The food was atrocious. 5 of us went out for dinner, and none of us could eat our meals. Chicken schnitzels, chicken parmigiana garlic bread, and prawn carbonara. The schnitzels and chips were soggy and tasteless. Garlic bread soggy, prawn carbonara more like a mushroom flavoured soup, the sauce on the parmy awful, lemon lime and bitters was flat!

Clearly, the food used is of lower quality as opposed to the price charged being largely more expensive than other pubs.

We asked to speak to the manager....wow what a charming woman! Sour, grumpy, and very rude.

The young lady who served us, though, was very helpful and organised a partial refund.
When up at the bar to get the refund, we could see the chef in the kitchen and to top it all off he was wearing thongs!!!

Never again. 😱

Clearly you don’t read your reviews or seem to care about them. But, some customer service wouldn’t go astray. If you don’t like people maybe another job ? This could be an amazing pub if the people working there weren’t old and cranky

Atrocious service, the food was poorly made, the chef wasn't wearing proper in closed shoes, only thongs. you can taste the freezer burn on the garlic bread and prawns. the food was soggy and horrid. no matter what anyone says, this place is vile.

Had the best barramundi - melted in the mouth. Garlic bread good too. Steak - eye fillet was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Lovely evening sitting outside. Fair prices. Thank you to the Dayboro Pub. (Crown)

We had lunch there Friday with friends and the meals were lovely. I especially love that they have a dog friendly section on the deck

We had lunch there two weeks ago. Like fools, we ordered 'tempura whiting'. Dear readers, it was not tempura. It wasn't even good batter. The batter and the fish were tasteless, and the side salad lacking any kind of effort. We ate this on a wide verandah lacking any atmosphere other than the fumes from the motorcycles roaring past the pub. You also have to walk from the carpark into the pub through a cloud of cigarette smoke at the rear entrance because that's where the smokers are allowed to hang out. A very unpleasant welcome to a pretty ordinary dining experience.

The bar does not even serve any kind of sparkling mineral water. That tells you what kind of clientele the management wants. They're welcome to it because I won't ever go back. There are plenty of other places to eat in the area which are better quality and value.
