We had a fabulous off grid stay at Dark Sky Eco Resort. Mark and Wendy are great hosts thinking about every detail. The lodge was warm, cosy and comfortable with a spacious deck area, a huge spa and places to sit and eat. The outlook is lovely with a very restful feeling of being away from anyone else. We did both the star show and Emu safari both of which we would highly recommend! If you want to feel peaceful, see the amazing starry sky and be totally comfortable in the process, we couldn’t recommend this stay highly enough.

Had a very relaxing and comfortable time! Watching the emus from the outdoor deck was a daily treat.
The stargazing night on a perfectly clear sky was an experience of a lifetime!

I highly recommend the star watching option. Mark and Wendy are very knowledgeable and passionate about the night skies and we learnt a lot as well as being awed by the views of galaxies and the planets.

It is hard to describe in words what a unique and wonderful experience staying at the Dark Sky Eco retreat was. Mark and Wendy are amazing hosts who offered above and beyond hospitality, tours of their amazing off grid property, Emu feeding and a journey to the stars via their telescope and astronomy tour. The accomodation was immaculate and the huge outdoor spa which was already piping hot when we arrived was just the icing on the cake. One of the best experiences I've had travelling around NSW for both adults and kids. Very highly recommended.

Highly recommend a stay at the Dark Sky Eco Resort. Clean and comfortable with a welcomed Spa at the end of the day. Great base for day hikes at the Warrumbungles. Loved sitting on the deck watching the birds and emu's in the afternoon.

Mark and Wendy went out of their way to make sure our stay was excellent. Mark gave me a 3am dark sky guided tour with his telescope and customized his presentation to my interests. The lodging was excellent, the location was absolutely unique with a guided tour with insights into local agriculture (emu farming, bee keeping, and land management), off grid technology, and more!
