I have stayed here number times over 10 years always amazing with manager Kevin. In the last 18 months with Andrew it's a bit like Fawlty towers - numerous issues with keys not working ,booking allegedly cancellation. This last visit was soooooo disappointed. Upon arrival was told thrilled booking had been cancelled despite confirmations and payment made.Took an hour and insistence to get a room after being told we had to book and pay for another room? Truly truly so dissopointing. It seemed we were told lie after lie and finally the evidently of booking and payment produced a room.

Beautiful historical old house, great for an overnight stay. Our room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom did need a deep clean, mild amount of mould on the ceiling and walls but otherwise everything was clean and tidy. The shared kitchen definitely needed a good clean, there were flies in there and lots of old grease. I didn’t use it, rest of the property was very well kept. Bit confusing checking in as there was no one there, but there were envelopes with names on them for our rooms, system built on trust! Had no issues with our stay and would come again ?

A blast from the past - an old school manorial B&B, one of the only ones I know of in Sydney. Great owner and great manager. Quiet neighborhood. I wish there were more places like this around.

Upon arrival, found there is no reception desk to be found. I made my way inside to find no one to assist. Found my room key cards in an envelope sitting on a desk inside what appeared to be a sitting room. No security camera or any other person was seen in the time of my stay, aside from a cleaner as I was leaving.
A phone number, taped to the outside of the door (which was propped open by a brick) was the form of reception. This was only found once I had called the phone number on my accommodation link email, which I found out to call the number taped to the door.
The rooms were generously sized, with quite a large bed, wardrobe, and cupboard, which held the bar fridge, coffee mugs, tea cups, and tea and coffee. Also a writing desk and side table with 2 chairs each.
A shared bathroom, for use between about 8 rooms, was a bit much. Something I'd expect more from a backpackers type accommodation. That and it was an open-plan bathroom with no privacy curtain around the shower area to at least keep the spray from the shower restricted to that part.

Room was fine, though two single beds pushed together to be a Queen was a bit weird - especially with such a small doona/duvet.

New towels were delivered the next day, but the bed wasn't remade. We probably could have requested this, but didn't!

No front desk made the whole process a bit odd, and we had no idea if we could organise dinner/breakfast in the dining room.

That said, the price was good and the gentleman who checked us in was very kind and welcoming!

Huge room, beautifully appointed with antique furniture. King size extremely comfy bed The room was freshly renovated and extremely clean. Room was very quiet considering its proximity to shops and the railway station. Heavy curtains made the room very dark. Overall a wonderful experience.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife as part of our honeymoon. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner: An elderly gentleman by the name of Andrew, He was welcoming and generous: When we were shown to our room, he then offered us a bigger room. He even offered us a lift to Darling Harbour the following morning and, upon request, arranged a TV for our room. |The place itself is rich in history. I always love staying in historical buildings and this one is one of the best. It has the sense of age & place and it there is something to be said to be staying at a place with such a historical feel behind it. The rooms are well furnished and the beds we used were indeed comfortable. Indeed a classy place to stay

I stayed at Darcy's Hotel for three days and I have to say, it was a wonderful experience! The owner, a true gentleman, runs the place with such care and attention to detail, and the staff were incredibly kind and patient. They really took the time to make sure I felt comfortable and happy during my stay. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous, with a vintage-style decor and a charming garden that I loved spending time in. The hotel itself is beautiful, with an elegant vintage decor and a lovely garden. The rooms are spacious and fresh, with a pleasant scent throughout, and I particularly appreciated the large and comfortable bed, as well as the convenient air conditioning. One of the best things about Darcy's Hotel is its location - it's so convenient for getting around the city, with both the train and bus stations just a stone's throw away. If you're coming to Sydney for a concert or just to explore the city, I highly recommend staying at Darcy's Hotel - I know I'll definitely be back again!
