Ok, this is the third time I’ve been here and the food tastes great. The staff are all hard working, which is clear to see. But my big bug bear is that it’s 34 degrees outside and the doors have been left open so it’s a gruelling 30 degrees in the bistro, which is where you come to eat and socialise yeah?! I took a little walk around and found that if you’re here for the pokies it’s a cool 22 but for me throwing away money is not on the agenda. Also my “coffee and cake” came at a gruelling $22 because there’s no deal to be had and the cake and coffee are separated over the bistro and the bar. They do have the coffee machine by the pokies, which looks nice and is very cool relative to the rest of the place but they don’t offer cake. Just a biscuit or one of 2 basic slices. The coffee was also burnt and bitter. But for me the heat inside was the zero hero. I wouldn’t come back on a warm day and my feedback would be to turn up the air con in the bistro and have a coffee and cake deal so the price doesn’t get stuck in your throat. Having said that, despite the ice cream galore in my plate (what I didn’t ask for or want) the toblerone cheesecake (pyramid) was beautifully presented just very small for the price.

Went for a Friday night family dinner, new chef, new menu. Good food, all the regulars on a club menu with a mild Sri Lankan twist. Quiet, relaxed, casual and clean environment.

Food was fresh and staff accommodating.

At this price point, a welcome at the door and being shown to our table along with an introduction to the specials would have warmed the dining experience. Looking forward to seeing how this place progresses in our community.

Weird place late at night. Seem like odd people. The bar looks nice though. Looks like a great place for an afternoon bevvy with the boys if the vibes improved.

I've lived and worked in Dandenong for many years, and I only just found out about the Dandy Workers Club! The outside is a bit rough, but the food and vibe inside are awesome.

Went for da tina turner n tom jones tribute show on Saturday...show was good but absolute disgusting audience stripped n flashing....can't understand why he was taken out as soon as he started stripping

The service is pretty poor, no-one to greet you and seat you.
No menus handed out or on the tables.
While the atmosphere is relaxed and the food reasonable.
Just lack of customer service is a real turn off.
Unlikely to return.

Went for dinner yesterday after a very long time & must say, the food was terrible. The salmon was dry & totally lacked taste, so was the sweet potato. My friends chicken parmas were dry too. They are normally packed but it wasnt this time & I was told by a few regulars that standards had gone down!

The music was good but the aircon was not powerful enough so it was a real sweaty evening.
