Great hotel in a great location. Large, luxurious, definitely 5-star ambience and service when checking in. Our ocean view room was also large and very well furnished and equipped. Very comprehensive breakfast offerings in the restaurant with terrific views on the Sunday morning from the adjacent atrium terrace which was not open on the other mornings that we were there. But, the restaurant is not open for dinner every night either. ||I only have two minor complaints. We had the breakfast and parking package but each time we took the car out of the carpark, the boom gate stayed down and I had to call the front desk to let us out! Secondly, the bathroom in our room featured a very old-fashioned shower-over-bath arrangement. The tub should be removed and a large walk-in shower installed instead. That said, we would definitely stay here again.

Refurbished room on the top floor. Check in was easy and staff pleasant. Clean, good size and comfortable room; modern and fresh white look though carpet needs updating. Bathroom was good size but we did think the floor was slippery when wet. Parking is on site but $35 per day. Close to beach and nice flat walks; restaurants nearby. We would stay here again if price is reasonable.

Stayed here for work recently and it was a great experience. The hotel is incredibly large and well catered. Functions rooms are high quality much like Sydney CBD and service exemplary, the staff should be commended. Food at Mirabella is definitely a must try, best I've had in a while outside of Sydney. Rooms are spacious, bathrooms immaculate and WiFi actually works. Beachfront and always nice and warm even in winter.

My recent stay at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal was very nostalgic. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting this hotel numerous times over the past 20 years. I’ve stayed in various rooms for different occasions, so I’ve come to know what to expect. While it’s true that the hotel is starting to show its age, and first time visitors might notice its slightly tired appearance, it’s still well-maintained. What the hotel may lack in modern amenities, it more than makes up for with its outstanding service and unbeatable location. It is hard to beat. Situated directly opposite the beach, it’s within easy walking distance to bars, restaurants, shops, and everything that Terrigal has to offer.||During this visit, Owen at reception truly stood out. He was kind, friendly, and professional, going above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after. Despite booking with points, he managed to arrange an early check-in and even a room upgrade, which was an unexpected surprise.||The views from our room were stunning. There’s something special about being able to open the door and listen to the waves crashing below. The room was large and the bed was particularly comfortable. The mini bar setup was a little inconvenient, as it operated on an order and pay via QR code basis, where beverages were delivered to the room. We would have preferred a more traditional setup for easier access.||The balcony furniture felt a bit lackluster, with plastic tables and chairs tables. I understand the rationale, given the high salt content in the air and the resulting potential for rust, but it still detracted from the overall aesthetic. Similarly, the bathroom amenities were relatively basic, though I’m sure we could have requested additional items if needed.||Room service, was good — responsive, quick, and the food was tasty. Car parking was straightforward, though it required completing an online form at check-in and inputting credit card details. For convenience, I would have preferred the option to settle this charge with the final bill, similar to my preference for the minibar.||Breakfast was decent, with a good selection of food, though the service was a bit slow. To their credit, the staff were friendly, and it was clear they were busy, which likely contributed to the delay.||All in all, despite its signs of age, Crowne Plaza Terrigal will likely be a place I return to for its welcoming atmosphere and an exceptional location.

Do not stay on a Saturday night. There is music blasting from Siren the nightclub across the hotel past 12am. You can hear it from the rooms and we paid a premium for a renovated suite. Guests should at least be notified that there will be music until late at night. The hotel is quite old and needs a renovation. Great location

Check in experience was dismal - family with two young children and weren’t able to check into the booked room until 16.20pm. A full 1 hour 20 minutes AFTER check in time despite being repeatedly told that our room is next in line to be cleaned (apparently they hadn’t even started cleaning it at 3pm and weren’t able to give us an ETA at that time). Spoke to manager who promised to come and see us or call us to provide an update and never heard from her again. Definitely not the usual Crowne Plaza experience (we are IHG Rewards members). Let’s hope the rest of our break here improves…

Ate at the outside restaurant yesterday evening and a few points. The food was actually really tasty and was, for me, above expectations - hot and really tasty. Just something to bring up it wasn't a warm evening with a cool breeze off the sea but we couldn't sit in any of the sheltered seating because all the free tables hadn't had their plates and glasses cleared. When I was ordering drinks there were staff including managers not doing anything and the manager was on his phone a lot but the dirty tables remained unusable. We sat in the cold and watched lots of prospective patrons look around then leave. Once we ate our (very tasty) food an hour had gone by and those tables were still covered in old dirty plates. Clear up guys and make room for more paying customers!

IF YOU VALUE SLEEP, DONT STAY ON THE WEEKEND.I am a local and my hubby and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary. It was a Saturday night, so pretty busy. The staff were all lovely, the drinks we got at the bar were really nice and the service was overall good. Things I think that could be improved on was the state of the room. It was old, lots of chips out of the edges of the wooden furniture. There was old dried rice in the carpet that didn't come from us which was a bit gross. The biggest downside is they had music pumping from the downstairs bar till about 2am. Other venues on booking.com always stipulate in the important information section that they have loud music on certain nights and what time it runs to. No where did I see them provide this kind of info, as it would have influenced my decision to book. It was constant and loud, and as the building is literally shaped like an amphitheatre, the sound travelled to the third floor. They need double glazing on all the windows and doors to allow guests who have paid almost 500 dollers for a luxury night out, to actually get sleep. I looked around and saw something a little high class, but at 2am, it just felt like we were sleeping upstairs at our local pub while everyone got hammered. Not what I was expecting, not what I thought I was paying for. It's hard to justify 475 for that. Location is stunning, but when I book an expensive night away from my 4 yr old, I expect sleep. Please decided what you are, pub, or up market hotel.
