We have just spent a wonderful six days in Canberra and once again stayed at the at the Crowne Plaza. We booked several months ago speaking to Pauline in reservations who was marvelous in the way she organised everything for us. The Check- In was pleasant and smooth thanks to Van's friendly nature and efficiency. We had a lovely room overlooking Glebe Park. The trees are just starting to turn so the view from the room was spectacular.

Each night we dined in the Redsalt Restautant and would very much like to congratulate Yeshan and his team on the service and the atmosphere they created. They were attentive to all patrons checked that chosen meals were suitable and suggesting that certain desserts were worth trying. We chose the Fish of the Day option most nights and on all occasions, we were not disappointed.

We would also like to mention the breakfast crew who did a mighty job each morning as they accommodated upwards of 400 people for breakfast. All of this was done with grace, patience and a friendly smile.

The proximity of the hotel makes it an excellent choice for walking around the lake, visiting the National Museum, Galleries and the Saturday Market.

We look forward to returning to the Crowne Plaza in the coming year.

Best part of my stay? Familiarity with this hotel. We have stayed with this hotel in Canberra multiple times. It's easy, location is convenient as it is right in Canberra's CBD. Also as most chains, they do breakfast buffet very well, and they have maintained the quality of that breakfast. No wonder the hotel is perfect for young families.|Rooms. I like the lay out of these rooms, even if they are obviously rooms for the office/business travellers. Not as small as the other big US chain. We stayed in a room with a view of the park.|Service. Reception staff is trained to deliver what they must deliver but that is basic, communication with other teams is missing. They didn't give us enough towels -- let's say they made this mistake because of the error I made at booking, but I mentioned in the reception my partner is joining me. |Improve or Change. Pls improve your entertainment service. The hotel can do with some small improvements/ repair but not having the latest entertainment - streaming is unacceptable. One of the new hotel brands I am trying has one of the best streaming and it is free. It is a new building and they are slightly cheaper (perhaps $10-$20 AUD less).

So conveniently situated, staff aways display a high standard, rooms are very clean and comfortable. We always stay here when in Canberra. We find that it has a warm and welcoming feel that we like. The food for dinner at Redsalt is much better than most hotel restaurants. Particularly recommend the steaks, the green salad and the duck fat potatoes ! And the staff there are excellent, particularly Trischa, who was so charming and helpful, a real delight.

Happy with our stay. Perfect location, just a couple of minute walk to all the shops / restaurants / supermarkets. Could sleep our family of 4 in one room with two double beds for 2 nights. Breakfast was reasonably well priced for kids and adults. Pool for swimming and some indoor games / activities for kids. One of the best gym / exercise equipment I’ve ever seen in a hotel.

I stayed in Crowne Plaza Canberra last week and had the best experience as IHG Rewards member. The staff at front desk was welcoming and appreciated loyalty of mine.

The room was clean, quite comfortable, bed was comfortable and so the amenities in the room. I had great sleep and rest.

We enjoyed our overnight stay and Pompeii experience which was included in our package. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. We loved the view of the autumn trees from our large window. The bathroom is a bit outdated but was still clean and tidy. The buffet breakfast was included as part of our package. Advertising throughout the hotel and on Facebook was misleading as it stated that kids eat free at Red Salt restaurant but disappointingly this did not include breakfast. The food at the buffet was great with a large variety of options available. Service at the restaurant was not great however, we were initially greeted and offered coffee etc but after that point we didn't see any staff for the rest of our meal. No one collected our plates for the whole time we ate and by the time we finished our table was piled high with plates and it was the same for all the other tables in the restaurant. I made myself a tea with milk from the bar and discovered that it was out of date by 4 days- terrible! Hopefully no one got sick from drinking out of date milk.

I travelled from Sydney for a short trip to Canberra and had an excellent stay at this hotel. The service was warm and professional, the room was clean and cozy, and the overall environment made for a truly relaxing break. Breakfast was also delicious with a great variety to choose from—definitely a highlight of the stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort and quality in Canberra!

Had three great nights in Canberra. The room was very comfortable and exactly as we remembered from last time. The bathroom could do with an update but still very functional. The staff went out of the way to accommodate any requests from us. They were extremely friendly and helpful. We would recommend the Crowne Plaza to anyone.
