This is a great place. It must’ve been fantastic when it was first built many years ago. I believe it even had a zoo there now you can still walk down to the rock. I have caravan and camping spots there. There’s lots of birdlife and other wildlife to see on the way in and out This toilets on site picnic tables. You would need to have medium fitness to make it to the top of the rock to the lookout and low fitness to make it down to the water there is no wheelchair access down to the water.

What a wonderful surprise!!!
We just turned the corner to have a look at whatever could be a Cranky Rock and after a couple of minutes drive and a 2 minute walk we came across the amazing water hole.
The camping grounds look fantastic but we didn't stay so I can't revue.
Thank goodness for Nature's wonders and so thankful we turned that corner.
Enjoy Every Second!!

Great spot for a couple of days with an easy walk to a lookout above the gorge. Water was muddy when we were there due to recent rain but according to the caretaker it clears up and the locals frequently swim there. You can book ahead with the caretaker but he told it doesn’t get very busy. Only $15 per night with an honestly box by the office. Friendly and interesting with some beautiful chooks to feed and admire.

Beautiful quiet campground.

Hot shower and toilet (1 shower and 2 x toilets)

Unfortunately our stay was ruined by loud, uncouth bogans who were noisy all the time . Typical bad luck for us. Close to Warialda.

The actual rocks are amazing and not far to walk.

Great place to relax, enjoy the bush views and those of the incredible formed rock structures and their balancing act.

Oh and what a deep, refreshing pool to swim in - try and touch the bottom!

Free gas BBQ and public toilets, plus powered and unlisted camping spots, though we just went for a day trip.
Flies were pretty bad, though they're pretty bad everywhere right now. Fly net made a difference, as did going for a swim because they didn't follow you!

Must see if you like to just sit and reflect and enjoy the beauty that our creator has given us. A very quick drive from Warialda. Great swimming hole if rain has come in recent times. Nothing too strenuous to get to. Plenty of bouldering challenges for the young at heart. Photos are of view from the look out at the top. Lovely place to rest and be with family and friends.
