We had a fantastic day at the annual blossom festival on Saturday. We had perfect blue skies and it was well worth the trip. There were a lot of people but the cultural performances were worth that. For the best photos I would visit on a weekday. We highly recommend a visit to the War Memorial of the POW camp. We went the following day. We will definitely visit again.

I visited with my elderly mother in a wheelchair in late winter, just before blossom time. The gardens and falling water, and the structure of each area were superb - stunningly beautiful and serene. A word of warning to those coming with a wheelchair - the grades are steep, and there are some variances in grade sufficient to require a bit of shuffling back and forwards. Still, the gardens were over-all accessible and I had a good work-out to boot. I was less impressed with the cost, the overt touristy elements and the cafeteria staff levels - but perhaps this goes with the territory and can be hard to fairly judge on a single visit. I will come back in a couple of weeks 😐

Absolutely beautiful gardens. Gorgeous to see everything coming into bloom. The shop sells beautiful little trinkets from Japan as well and the cafe is lovely food. Feeding the fish is only $2 for a decent bag of feed and it's a fun experience for the kids.

We loved our visit through these magical gardens. Easy walk for my husband with a sore leg. Then coffee and 3 sweets as we couldn't choose. Simply amazing. Staff were unbelievable as well.

My recent visit was nothing short of extraordinary. The location is absolutely picturesque, with stunning views that look like they've been plucked straight from a postcard. Each moment spent here was both relaxing and rejuvenating, a perfect escape. We went as a family and even the children enjoyed the stroll. It was made convenient pushing the pram around as well. It wasn’t crowded even on a school holiday.

The breathtaking scenery, coupled with the serene atmosphere. Whether you're strolling through the lush landscapes or simply enjoying a quiet moment, this place offers an experience.

The only downside was that I was craving for ramen after, ? but there’s no where around.

Everything seems to be well maintained. Gift shop is full of pretty goodies and there’s a cafe as well. Gardens not that big but it’s still a nice walk

Absolutely beautiful garden. Allow 45 mins and then have a snack at the cafe. Travelling in spring allows you to see the excellent blossoms on display
