We stayed here previously in 2023 and have returned again this year. This time round we stayed for 8 nights and had a much better experience as reception staff were much friendlier than previously since the addition of Jack. He was very friendly, efficient and would send requests up to the room immediately via housekeeping or he would deliver it himself, such as when we asked for a fresh pair of slippers as I had surgery on my foot and bled all over the previous pair. However, when Jack wasn’t around as had his day off, any requests for anything extra would need to be requested a few times and a long wait before anyone would bring it up. |Anushin ( I hope this is the correct name) was also very helpful and friendly. The new ladies at reception are much nicer and helpful since the departure of sourpuss Jess.||We were upgraded to a King suite room which was spacious, clean, well appointed and had a nice view of Story Bridge and the river in between two buildings. This part of the hotel is a lot quieter than where we were previously, which faced the main road and children’s hospital with helipad. So, we were very grateful to Jack for placing us in a much quieter & nicer room.||This hotel is within walking distance to Southbank where there is a lot of choice of restaurants. Also, less than 5mins walk away is a 24hr McDonalds, near the train station. There is also Woolies, a pharmacy, cafe and bakery in same area. It’s also walking distance to the Botanical gardens and the shopping mall. ||We will definitely stay here again as this is one of the newest hotels, having read Tripadvisor reviews of other hotels in Southbank, they all seem tired yet still charging silly prices. So, we are sticking to what we know and experienced already.

Exceeded expectations. Delighted to arrive at a hotel and be greeted by friendly professional front desk staff. Check in and out was seamless. Room was welcoming spotlessly clean and immaculately presented. Great location with easy access to Southbank and other points along the Brisbane River via citykat. Onsite restaurant and staff very good. Quiet. Parking onsite with easy access.

I was disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room was not clean—dirty bedding and carpets made it feel unhygienic. There was no complimentary water in the room, only reusable bottles you had to purchase, which could supposedly be refilled from water stations in the corridor. However, the tanks were empty, making it impossible to get drinking water. Even skimped on toilet paper, providing low quality single ply.

The location was ok, and the staff was friendly, but that doesn’t make up for the lack of basic cleanliness and amenities. Would not stay here again.

The hotel is nice, clean and new. Staff were friendly and professional, big room, good price, good location. I booked a romantic getaway or whatever it was called and we got a free parking, credit in the local cafe and free upgrade. They also gave us 2 bottles of wine as I drink red and hubby drinks white 🙂 and chocolates. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and can recommend it.

Amazing stay, was greeted by Johnny and he had fantastic customer service, gave us info about the area and recommended good places for dinner etc. Checked us in nice and easy and the room was beautiful! Check out was smooth with a lovely lady at the front desk!

For someone who usually stays in hostels or Meriton. I needed a place to stay overnight as most cheap hotels/hostels were sold out on Fri 24th Jan as I had an early morning flight the next day. As most hotels available were insanely expensive. After finding this one for $240 I immediately booked it used my Qantas points to lower the price down to $68. Jo was very friendly at check in and understood my frustration of no hostels available due to long weekend and Luke Coombs performance. I was extremely happy with the service given as I booked a cheap room last minute and was upgraded to a better room with balcony. Room was massive and spacious. Got a good few hours sleep before my flight back to Sydney. This really made my last day of my trip really well despite the chaos. Well done Jo, I also work in hotel/service apartment

We recently stayed here and will most definitely be back! The staff were all amazing. From the front desk, to housekeeping, to the cafe. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable and location is perfect. I just wish we were there longer! I highly recommend staying here while visiting Brisbane.

This is a nice Marriott property with a great location in walking distance to much of South Bank as well as the ferry stop on the Brisbane River. I was given a corner room with lots of space and nice view of the river. The room had quite a spacious balcony which was great to sit out, drink coffee and work on my laptop. The hotel has a small restaurant but they are apparently owned by a 3rd party which they explain when you check-in. As a Platinum Bonvoy member that basically meant I didn't get any perks at the restaurant and unfortunately there was no executive lounge on the property. I did pay for breakfast and it was good food and quick before heading to work. The location is excellent and there are restaurants and bars very close nearby. This is a nice stay if you chose the South Bank area.
