A lovely country motel, the managers were really helpful and lovely. The room was an older style but the beds were SO comfortable and there was ample cutlery and crockery, a toaster, kettle and microwave. I loved delicious biscuits they left for us and fresh milk was such a nice touch. The Motel is on a busy road, but we heard nothing all night. We were in room 23. I will say that the bathrooms need to be renovated , but the shower was hot and had great pressure. I’d highly recommend this Motel when visiting Coonabarabran.

This is the fourth time we have stayed at the Counry Gardens. It still represents good value even though there is no longer a free continental breakfast. The rooms are a good size, the bed comfortable (although small) and fairly quiet.||The downside is that the bathrooms are very old and need updating.

Our room was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but nice. Our issue was the noise, big trucks on the highway, which is close. Thankfully we travel with ear plugs. You hear conversations and tv from adjacent rooms and from the walkway outside the room. Also parking is right outside your door, so vehicles coming and going, workmen leaving early. We also got some cigarette smoke in the bathroom when the vent was on and someone standing outside smoking.

Clean and presentable, with a pleasant new owner. Let down by the absence of room service, but otherwise good value for money. Disappointed that we were directed to the local hotel for an evening meal, when the host (apparently) knew that they were booked out, but didn’t mention that the motel restaurant across the road had an open and functioning restaurant (where we dined, well)

I booked this motel by mistake and when I called I asked is this the motel directly across the road of the Chinese restaurant to which I was told yes the restaurant is across the road . When we arrived at the motel across the road from the Chinese restaurant The All travellers motor inn they didn’t have our booking but our money had already been taken out of our bank account at 5:30pm. I then found out that we were at the wrong motel were staying at country gardens motel. This is my fault I should have checked but was lead to believe I had booked into the motel I had stayed last year. When I asked why the money had been taken out of my account before I arrived she said it was there protocol because people book and don’t turn up or words to that affect. This motel doesn’t care about returning customers so be aware of that I explained what had happened she said no refund because they have a 48 hour notice of cancellation. She assured me that this motel was worth the stay. I had told the person on the phone when I booked we were travelling 900km this day so I was looking forward to the rest not an argument over a motel. As for the room it’s ok small bathroom, no shampoo or conditioner in our room 3 people stay one small milk supplied beds are soft and you roll into the centre . It was however clean and is within walking distance to the Chinese restaurant . This motel as I mentioned seem not to be interested in returning customers just getting your money so make sure it’s what you want before giving your bank details because they will take it and take it early. I received no call to ask if everything is ok are you still coming they don’t care only the money interested them. The motel was not booked out plenty of empty rooms available. I was misled when I called about the location but they don’t care about the customer only the money. So make sure it’s the motel you want before booking

Stopped for an overnight stay on our way up the Newell to Brisbane and we were delighted with our choice. ||We had a large room with a superb split system air con and good comfy beds with crisp sheets. Check in was easy and friendly and the room was quiet too.||We ate in the restaurant too and recommend the food as tasty and great value. We didn’t see many alternatives in town either so that’s a double bonus.||Will definitely stay again next time.
