Wonderful & quirky farmstay in quiet peaceful surrounds, we stayed in the larger Overlander carriage. Travelled in early spring so the mild nights were made for the open campfire with sundowners. Weber gas BBQ to cook on so you don't have to travel at night by car to either Ariah Park or Temora if you don't wish. Plenty of air cond for the warmer weather. The carriage is long with lots of rooms to spread out. The carriage is about 100 metres from both house and other carriage so far enough to feel private. Rita is the most friendly and helpful host. The breakfast hamper is glorious.

What an amazing place to stay. So private and tranquil and Rita and Lyndsay are wonderful hosts. Our carriage was so well equipped, every last detail met. It’s the little touches that make your stay even more memorable. We will be back when we next need a relaxing break ☺️

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay on the City Circle train carriage at Country Carriages. Rita & Lyndsay were just lovely - and were the perfect hosts.||The bed was superb (probably the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on), as were the top-quality sheets. The carriage supplied everything that one could possibly want - it even a pool table! ||Bonnie & Bessie, the beautiful Clydesdales, were definitely the highlight of our two-week trip - we’ll never forget the time we spent with them. ||Ariah Park is a long way from the Gold Coast, but we’ll definitely try to get back there so as to stay at Country Carriages once more - next time, for more than just one night.||Owen & Larraine|

A wonderful rural retreat run by a great family who truly care for their guests. Lindsay and Rita offer a unique style of accommodation in their beautiful historical railway carriages. We chose the city circle with its king bed and luxurious linen. Air conditioner, kitchen and private bathroom. A lovely rose garden and our hosts proud to show us around their settlers cottage with all of its historical collections. A wonderful breakfast hamper was supplied together with a spectacular sunrise. |Again a special thank you for the warm welcome and the friendly service provided.|Kind regards Les & Jenny

We were delighted to find the best and most unique B&B that suited us perfectly! An old City Circle train carriage transformed into a self contained accommodation unit with fabulous hosts Rita and Lyndsay. ||We appreciated the information with the history of the farm and the carriages and the tour of the pioneer cottage by Lyndsay. ||We were attending a Rotary conference in Temora and the carriage was perfect for us for the 2nights. We just wish we’d had more time to simply relax in the peaceful surrounds. ||Everything was done to a high level with a very comfortable bed with lovely linen, a great bathroom setup with lots of complimentary goodies and lovely big towels, the kitchen had all we needed plus the delicious and generous breakfast hamper got our day off to a great start. ||How cool is this place - and yes that’s a billiard table in the middle of the train! It’s quirky, cosy, comfy and has heaps of character!

We arrived late afternoon to a warm welcome and a lovely toasty train carriage. It was very well provisioned and the location just perfect. The bed was super comfortable and we were provided lovely fluffy towels and robes. The outdoor fire was set and no shortage of firewood. It was a little chilly while we were there so we did not take advantage of the outdoor bath but will certainly try it next time. |The carriqge itself lacked nothing in comfort and style. The little touches such as the fruit bowl were greatly apprecjated.|Rita showed us around the old house, and Rawans collection of all things old, while sharing with us the family history. |We feel very privileged being able to share this beautiful property, even if just for 3 short days. If you get the opportunity to visit this part of the world, I can not recommend this place highly enough. You won't be disappointed.

We spent two nights hosted on this beautiful property near Temora in NSW. We shared the Overlander carriage with friends and had a wonderful time. It’s quite unlikr any other B&B (in a good way!) and we would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy warm country hospitality in a unique surrounding. Our hosts Riat and Lyndsay left nothing out and thir attention to detail was admorable.||||So if you’re looking for something different and memorable, get in touch!

This was our 3rd stay at country carriages with Rita and Lindsay who are beyond exceptional welcoming hosts. Lindsay saved us when we became bogged on Old Cootamundra Rd late at night finally arriving at the Carriages to Rita with hot soup and toasties ready. They are truly beautiful country folk. We absolutely love it here. The property has sheep/lambs, horses, cattle and amazing bird life. We enjoyed sitting around the fire with a glass of wine and counting the stars. Strongly recommend this wonderful hidden gem you won’t be disappointed. Donna and Lachlan
