Food was fantastic! So many yummy options on the menu. Definitely keen to come back and try more. We enjoyed the schnitzel benedict and the Canadian breakfast. Coffees were nice. Staff was very helpful. Couldn't believe how quiet it was on a Saturday morning so could be a bit of a hidden gem!

The shop is very nice when walking in, customer service is amazing, very friendly. Ordered breakfast and after first few bites it was very good. Good if live local. Price was worth it as the food is amazing. Inside seating and also outside seating. I’m surprised how quiet it is for how good the food is.

Great local for a bite to eat. Owners are very friendly & the service is great. Water & cups brought straight out to the table without having to ask. Reasonably priced. Belgian waffles, haloumi b/fast & milkshakes are very good. Only feedback would be to have a kids menu too.

Perfect place to have a unbelievable breakfast or brunch! The coffee are awesome and the food always delicious fresh and very yummy! 😋And pet friendly,love to bring my dog there to let him meet some furry friends.

What a Great Find !!

Fabulous Cafe / Restaurant Located off Gooding Drive. Where the BP is, Next to Merrimac Tavern.

The Service was Prompt, Friendly and Efficient.

Had the Salmon Eggs Benedict & a Freshly Made Fruit Juice. Both Were Very Good.

Pretty Confident I’ve Found My New Weekend Breakfast / Brunch Spot.

Lacking the Usual Aussie Hospitality – A Mediocre Visit to Counter Eatery Café

Although I’m just visiting, my husband is Gold Coast born and raised, and over time, I’ve come to love exploring the many amazing cafés in the region. One of my favorite things about Australia’s coffee culture is the warm, welcoming service that seems to be the standard just about everywhere we go. Unfortunately, that wasn’t quite my experience at Counter Eatery Café.

The person who took my order wasn’t particularly friendly or welcoming, which was disappointing given the usual high standard of service I’ve encountered elsewhere. The coffee was also just mediocre—not bad, but certainly not up to the high Australian coffee standards I’ve come to appreciate.

I also found the café a bit too warm, and a few stronger fans or better airflow would make a big difference, especially in the hot Queensland summer. I politely asked if I could sit with my laptop for a while and access the WiFi, and although the staff eventually brought me the password, the connection quality was weak. Perhaps working from cafés isn’t as common here, so I won’t let that affect my rating.

Overall, my experience was fine but forgettable. With so many great Gold Coast cafés to choose from, I’d likely try somewhere else next time.

OMG, how did I not know this place existed! Spur of the moment, and we found a hidden gem. This was the best benny in ages. The eggs were just right. Try the chicken schnitzel benny it was brilliant. The service was exceptional and oat milk coffee the best we have tasted. All around, this place is an awesome stop.
