I visited several years ago after last being there in 1975. I know things move on, but I had a deep sense of sadness that my high school was no longer 😔. Only the hall remains. Lots of memories, school dances, dreaded gymnastics, the refectory (posh name someone came up with for a canteen for upper years). 😆. Remember watching Ross Ryan on stage in the hall singing his hit “I am Pegasus”. Remember Darryl Cotton visiting. Had our fare share of elite sports people. Remember watching Phil and David Smyth playing basketball at lunchtime. A few well known hockey players too. Do remember Bernie Cosgrove and his predecessor the scary Mr. Hannaford. Special homage to the wonderful bursar Barrie May.

We really like this hall for our events. It's a great size, is airconditioned, well lit and has a very handy kitchen (though a bigger fridge would be handy)
