Insights from Guest Opinions

Despite its prime location right next to Surf Beach and the convenience of shops and restaurants across the street, the park receives mixed feedback. Many appreciate the onsite amenities and accessible facilities but note that prices can be steep, with additional charges for dogs and site reservations. The park's cleanliness, while generally good, is mentioned as an area for improvement. Navigating the sites can be challenging due to high gutters and narrow roadways, and there are extra fees for site adjustments or joining the Family Parks program.

The average opinion on Google My Business is a commendable 4.2/5, reflecting a generally positive experience among visitors. However, it's highlighted that this park is often considered the most expensive option, lacking amenities like a pool and Wi-Fi on site, which some travelers found disappointing.

Location location. right next to Surf beach, Shops/Restaurants across the street. Park is good but so expensive and to top it off there's a $5 charge per dog per night. Amenities are nice but could be cleaner. Sites are difficult because of the high gutters and narrow roadways, they will put you on your site but there is a $10 charge. Also Family Parks are $50 to join but you only get max $20 discount on sites, not like the other park memberships which all give a $50 max discount. This is the most expensive park we have stayed at in all our travels, with no Pool and no wifi on our site

We loved staying here, so much so that we extended our original stay because we fell in love with the place! The facilities were great, location was amazing, friendly staff, and the cherry on top was the dog beach access direct from the park. We and our staffy loved it!

We had a terrible service here. Arrived onsite, and was allocated the a site where our caravan didn’t fit, despite providing the correct measurements. Toni, the female staff member, lied multiple times, and speaks over you when you try to talk to her. She tried to tell us that she had us down at 15ft, when my booking confirmation says 21ft. She tried to say, she offered us multiple other sites, that was a lie, she offered us one - which smelt terrible, was next to the main road and a dirty trailer. It wasn’t until we booked elsewhere that she then booked more sites. Absolutely awful service, if I’ve ever seen it. I requested a full refund, which they will not give. I have now written a formal complaint, and will go further without a full refund. Just terrible service. We travel around Australia, and never had this issue.

My family have been visiting this caravan park since I was 13/14 years old, and I’m now 30. I know this place like the back of my hand, and it’s so good to be in a familiar place. Yes it would be nice to have lights dimmed during sleep hours (ie, 10pm - 5am) as it’s quite bright for sleeping in a tent.

Had a great time away, great neighbours & zero issues with security & amenities (although some parents could be more considerate with their kids riding scooters around at 11pm, woke me up in a fright).

Otherwise, I have zero issues and my parents are booked in for April (they’ve been visiting every year for over a decade now).

Thanks guys, will be back soon!

Really good stay, close to shops, cafe, right in front of the beach. I had to check-in after hours and the process was very smooth. The facilities are great too. It's not the first time I stayed there (one of the sites), and also not the last. Loved it!

This park has the perfect position, right on the beach. Shops and restaurants across the road. Friendly staff.Nice and quiet. We enjoyed our stay so much that we will return on every trip in the future. Good level site with a concrete area for our annexe.

Terrible customer service. Booked a dog-friendly site in January, advised of van length (as per attached booking), only to arrive and not fit in our allocated site. When I booked via phone, I spoke to a young female, I looked at the map and requested between 171 and 175, she said we wouldn’t fit there, so moved us to 177. Well, we definitely didn’t fit our 21ft there!!!! The front-desk staff gave inconsistent information, offered NO apology and I’m still waiting on my full refund. The lady my husband approached at the front corner offered to move us to the only site left in the dog-friendly zone, which was next to a trailer, next to the main road and smelt terrible. This woman stated that they had us down as “15ft,” which was clearly a lie - since our booking confirmation emails show that we did indeed advise that our van was 21ft. We booked elsewhere, and requested a full refund for their booking error. This time, the male told my husband to park in horizontally (although the woman said we couldn’t do that when we asked to do this on two empty sites next to eachother), which wasn’t going to work because there’s tree branches and someone right next to us, so how can we get our draw bar in and out? He then tried to gaslight my husband by stating, “We never would have booked you there, did you request that site?” Hello, clearly, you booked us there, I don’t even work there and I can tell you that you can’t self-allocate your site upon booking. I’m still waiting on this full refund. At the very least, I expected an immediate full refund, an apology, and a credit to use to stay another time. This weekend is our 10 year wedding anniversary, and trying to manage all of this with a toddler who doesn’t understand why we are leaving the caravan park after travelling in the car for so long, is difficult. Absolutely won’t be back!!!!!! NOTE: We have travelled under Aus in our van, we know how to book a site. Absolutely terrible service.

EDIT: We stayed here for 7 days before Christmas. The park is clean, has many showers, and great facilities. However, the park does not offer any “extra” touches to make the park special, like evening activities or guides to the area. The lights also stay on throughout the night, making tents very bright for sleeping. Overall, we loved the location and would return.

ORIGINAL: I have been trying to book a 7 night stay at this caravan park for days now. The website says we must call to book, but whenever we call, it goes to message bank. We have left multiple messages and have not received a call back. I will update our review if we ever get to book in and visit this caravan park.
